Well I guess I will start (try) chronicling, they will probably get better and more serious over time.
Attano Amaryllis
The masters have made my item as I told them to, hopefully it will serve it's purpose. I started the day with Necromancy training while some of the others went out searching for the ruined ship spotted off the Eastern Reach. When they got back they had 2 boxes...or someone said they got 2 boxes, haven't found out what that was about, but hey if it's important we'll all know sooner or later. (or in the case that it's really important...never)
Anyway when the next mission came about I was finished with my training and ready to fight the Grim. This went well except for the part when we lost...But then having rallied were the victors at the end. One "funny" moment was the destruction of the Vampire (I helped!) who was commanding the undead. I being myself was shouting crap at the vampire for the first minutes of the battle, How about I try to recount the "conversation".
Me: "Hey you, Yea you the pale guy!" Vampire looks in my direction probably wondering why I was taunting a vampire with Moriganti. I stick my tongue out Vampire: "Lighting ray!" Me: "Missed!" At this point some undead had noticed me and were on my tale. A few minutes later I see him in the ethereal plane. Me: "Hello again, I can see you because guess what?" I activate the spell stone for terror ball " I'm a necromancer!" The Vampire pops out of the ethereal and casts his lighting ray. This time I am not so lucky and pass out from the spell. My luck has not gone thankfully because with in seconds I am awake from a medicine ball from one of my allies. My taunting continues. (but not for long) Me: "I'm awake and you can't keep me down longer then 3 seconds, you are a terrible storm mage!" All this time I am watching the Iron Disciple charge up behind him and deliver two blows that would fell a giant. The vampire was no more.
After that I and my fellow party members were ready for lunch. During the brake from missions I heard some one say they were not able to train Necromancer because of something they said during the honor test. Now it is my belief that knowledge should not be withheld from seekers of it, so I was willing to train this elf, Virva, and put her through my "Don't use death ray to kill etc" Honor test. She passed and I, as said I would, trained her. When we were all ready, we were sent out to quell some gang fights. This was never done (at least by me). My time in town was spent abusing death ray. No I did not kill any one, But Graves and I nearly got me killed. This was a prank, we would wait until some city watch were near and then I would pretend he had insulted me, I then cast my death ray at him. He would fall as though dead and I would get hopefully be able to reach safety before they figure out we were both necromancers.
Graves and I got board and deiced to go with the group to solve the curse. This involved getting together every one who had the curse and the items that had it as well. We were all ready to leave when we realized that there was no (Max) he had been kidnapped by the brownie! Luckily the brownie was nice and traded (Max) for some of our items. That said we were able to lift the curse at the site where the items were found. Unfortunately this involved fighting our way through a Grim patrol. These grim are heavily armed with these walking suites of armor that cast spells and animate dead bodies with the touch of a hand.
That's all I'll write for now, I think I will continue to write about the next time we are out adventuring.

Nope, Jeramy, although out of curiosity how are you doing deadly? Even with giant strength you would only be doing full wounds...

This is my May Chronicle.
Gideon Seabane
I awoke to water crashing through the hallway and into the bedroom. I shook Amara awake, but by then it was too late the room was filled with the sea.
Later we were found and resurrected, luckily both of us were fine. I was brought back later then her, and so was informed that boats from the Dark City had arrived and were attacking the bay! I ran home to get my gear on, then when immediately to the bay. Amara was already there as well as some of our old friends. The battle was fierce with both sides taking losses. The two Carakwaiths, Asheyes and Deathwish, were devastating to our ranks. The former would create bombs out of his own skeletons and have them run into our warriors, where they would explode in a rain of bone shards. Deathwish would cast elder sorcery like "I curse you" and "you lose hope." Nearing the end of the battle, I Chi dueled Asheyes, blocking his ability to cast spells. To my surprise he just stood there waiting not doing anything. I disarmed his morganti, and ended the duel. He looked extremely surprised that I didn’t kill him. But what can I say, I’m a pacifist! The battle ended with the sun rising and the vampires retreating
Attano Amaryllis
Note to Shailar: You are correct that water can be more destructive than fire. But fire has a more volatile nature and is more likely to be the cause of disaster.
The day did not begin well, and did not get much better. I opened my eyes to water and was promptly thrown against the wall. Not even a chance to get one breath, I inhaled water and passed out shortly after that. (Oh also my good friend, Graves, had the same experience in regard to resurrection, Though it seems his Ancestors are keeping him here.)
The resurrection process went wrong when I got up, I was fading. Oh Gods this is bad, I immediately got up and grabbed my old walking staff, my mothers, I headed to the forest. As I was walking I felt my self stabilize. The solid act of moving, breathing in the fresh air of the forest and listening to the bird song put my mind to ease.
Anyway, the First mission was to...Uh well...seems I forgot the objective.Though the only reason I went was we were taking the militia to be trained in disarm. I, being a teacher, showed the them the basics of disarm before the guild master knight could arrive. They learned fast and I set them on a training exercise while we were traveling.
There was one upside to the Tsunami, Torald, was shivering and jumpy the entire day. Unfortunately his spells and sword arm were fine, so I have some rips and burn marks in my clothing. On that point, I should have him buy me some nice expensive clothes, because of the traveling ones he destroyed.
Note to Torald: I would like my new very expensive clothes nicely folded on my bed when I return.
Needless to say the mission went well (whatever the objective was) and we returned back to the Inn, The militia has mastered disarm and were working on knock back. The next mission was to defeat the Temnorain Pirates, This we did with ease, though I am disappointed that I forgot to snatch a ship from the fallen pirates.
Next was lunch and after that I went, alone, into the tunnels under Sorikonia. Exploring is Fun!
Gideon Seabane
After having rested and eaten, we voted to attack one of the Dark City’s ships. The battle was against the two Carakwaiths were Falconcry and Asheyes. The battle was going fairly alright for us, but when I looked at the other boat they were doing very badly. They were on the ship with Lucky and Deathwish. The battle went fast and the tide started to turned against us when out of nowhere came Ishmael with the Shield of Undying Light. It had been about 22 years ago when the Items were first discovered. With that the undead were destroyed and the battle won.
Our boat was victorious but the other was a sad defeat, with many masters disabled and 3 taken to their dark fate.
Attano Amaryllis
My excursion into the tunnels was uneventful though I did get a good bit of exploring done, It is mostly empty.
Oh Yes it seems to be someones birthday today and He is going to explore some different tunnels how delightful. And I noticed Torald was going as well, This IS the highlight of the day (or that’s what I thought). At the beginning of the tunnels there was some right annoying pacifist people. They had some kind of elder sorcy that made you a pacifist for the encounter, no fun. Especially since they made all the non-pacifists sad then turned them into pacifists. God Dang annoying.
Next was some nasty, vile, evil, insane, creepy, monsters. They looked like an arm’s hand had been ripped off and then replaced with a head. To top things off they spat necromancy spells and elder sorcery out of there disgusting mouth. One of the Spells was something like “Your shadow torments you” That went whizzing past my head.
The last room was the worst by far, in the middle was a weird shifting gateway, that when looked at in the spirit plane gave me a headache. And in the room there was about 15 Necro-skull warriors, yes skeletons with necromancy spells. Oh and that wasn't it they had a purple flaming Knife in one of their hands. The knife did something like infect a limb I was. They were defeated and looted by the rest of the party, The knives were not able to be taken, they would have made a nice candle for the Inn. But back to the Gateway, So it gave me a really bad headache looking at it, so guess what I did, Stuck my hands in it. when I pulled them out they were numb and stiff.
Other people tried to to the same until (Jeremy the other one) stuck his infected hand in the hole and promptly lost control of his hand. It started attacking people and so he was stabbed. We identified him and it turned out he had turned into a “Shade” whatever that is. Right after that (Reese) with a shout of “Go back to where you came from, scum!!” Shoved the unconscious (Jeremy) into the Hole. (I may have added that in, Though (jeremy) was shoved into the hole). I go back home to the Inn to hear Shailar wants us all in quarantine, until we have been identified. You know what? My hands feel fine. You can put yourself in quarantine if you want, but not me.

This is my June Chronicle, I think I will write just as Attano, because he is a much more fun personality then Gideon or Null.
Attano Amaryllis
Note to Reader: I had written this before last monday night and it’s incident, so please take no offence...(to those who might(oh all the 'Notes' are written at this time if that makes since))
Well hello again.
You know what? Screw the party for the first part of the day, I’m going to go look at birds.
Apparently today is Torald’s birthday, Hmmm it has been a long time since I've had to give someone a present, but Torald is someone special. So I will find something for him. I bought a smallish container and went out in search of the...well necessary resources for the ‘Present’. Once all the objects were collected I put them in the box and tied the lid shut with a ribbon. It was carried down to the docks to wait Torald’s return (Oh did I forget to mention that he went on boat for the the entire morning, What fun!) Eventually his boat returned and he disembarked, looking somewhat seasick. The conversation went somewhat like this:
“Hello Torald! I hear it’s your birthday today! And I got you a present” “What is it” (looking suspicious...(I have no idea why he should!)) “It’s a gift! Why don’t you open it? Oh and when you open it I’ll tell you where to get the resources to, um...go with it!” “Then you open it” eye’s narrow “It’s your present, it would ruin the fun if I open it.” “Then back off and I will” (I don’t know why all the hostility)
Needless to say I backed off and waited for him to open the box. He moved toward the container with his sword ready. (My oh my, what does he think it is? A trap? Now why would I do that?) Torald opened the box with his sword to reveal a Koi fish swimming in a small pool of water with some sand and rocks on the bottom.
“How do you like it? You know the best place to get clean water is this stream close to the lake clan palace, it is a bit cold though but it is the best water in all of Sorikonia!”
Torald picks up the box with the Koi. While I continue to speak
“You have to make sure you stand right in the middle of the water and reach deep down to get the best of it...” Torald walks over to the dock and dumps the contents of the box into the ocean. Now that was completely uncalled for, I gave him a nice fish, and he killed it. I mean he could have eaten it but no, He just killed it! This is not how you treat a gift, especially in Sorikonia. But hey, I don’t care, it was his fish he can do what he wants with it. It could have taught him a few things if he kept it...But oh well.
Alright, as again Screw going and protecting the food caravans form whatever they are being attacked, I’m going to the Library. Sorikonia’s Library suck, a lot. They apparently “Don’t let you take books home” but a few books have been “Checked out for 3 months,” I say they suck. (No offence Library, I do go there to hide when I feel down, so keep up the good work!)
Anyway it seems that the Grim are the next to go down the drain. Grim skirmish: Living troops: Class A vampires(I’ll count them as alive), Uraki, Humans, and Oh a new one, War Troll. Dead troops: Skeletons, Bone warriors, sometimes Specters and Class B Vampires, and Always a Death Knight or a Class C Vampire. What is needed to kill a Grim Skirmish: Silver, magic(Given the new living troop, Terror/Treeform), and most importantly to keep your wits about you.
Right so that was what were facing, and everyone had the required items, we should have been fine. I’ll try to recount what happened.
There ranks advanced, I went straight up and cast a terror ball at the troll, stopping his regenerating. I then activated my own and ran into the combat. Swinging left and right, cutting the dead and living down. I made my way to the fallen spellstone, but was slashed across the chest and fell from the pain. When I woke up, my wounds healed, I was being carried from the battlefield by one of the enemy bone warriors. *Slash slash stab* I was free. The battle continued and eventually we won. Though not for long. I don’t know what I was doing but instead of waiting for the instead of waiting for the next wave, I walked off in search of the end of a path I had seen. When I returned it seemed that we had lost that time, both sides weakened The Grim prepared for the final assault. I’d like to say I helped but they seemed to have seen my, well, healing process...One of the Skeletons chucked me in the water...so most of that battle was spent splashing around trying to get to shore and then getting pushed back in. The battle was won by Samurai with the uncanny ability to be brought back to life after he was killed. So every time he was damaged he would be hit he would defy death, and then be brought back immediately after dying...After pushing the Grim back we returned to the Inn to rest.
That’s all I will write for this month. Hopefully next time is as fun as today was!
Note to Kioriel: I have apologized to him, but that doesn’t seem like enough. And I do believe I owe you an apologize as well. Meet me in the new Inn, one week from now.

We should make sure that Torald learns some gratitude. By perhaps making him realizing it could be much worse. I think it should involve some terror balls and ice balls. Just a thought.

I hope you all had fun on the campout, because I certainly did. I will try to recount it from the memory of as many characters as I can.
Campout day 1 (Sunday)
Attano Amaryllis
Note: I did nothing the first day except hear from people that, the Carakwaiths “Lucky” and “Shadow” were spotted out in the night. Looking back on this it seems like that would mark the beginning of the end for ‘normal’ life. 4455365
Null
Hello...I have a few things to write about for the first day.
I need to introduce myself, For anyone using my name please call me Null. I am Null now and will be called that until I find out more about my heritage. Also the masters may think I am a danger, well, I’ll let you decide that for yourself.
So it seems that a tomb/shrine/underground structure has been found. I asked if I could help investigate the ruins. The masters were reluctant to let me go, but after some nudging from a very honorable and kind woman they let me go. So long as she watched after me.
That done we were off into the tomb (I’ll call it that). On the way there was some dwarfs that were mining, they were dealt with by the rest of the party while (Kate) and myself were getting approval for my excursion into the world. Next was I think bandits, why would bandits attack us? We were heavily armed with experience in all forms, Worrier, Simi, Mage. Yet we are still plagued by the ones who think they can get what they want by force.
The battle (or massacre) was done, we headed into the Tomb, there was some fights with some more uraki bandits, then we found two sets of humans “Hiding” in two of the rooms. I think they were more bandits. They said that they were hiding from the uraki but I don’t know what they were up to. Probably trying to get inside the inner tomb. We kicked them out.
After that we solved the puzzle of the doors. Turning some circles on the walls until they clicked. After they clicked a door opened. We headed inside with shouts for treasure and glory. The next challenge was a small hallway with statues standing in a combative stance. We walked through and were promptly shot by spells. How this was solved was, we had Scarab run through (He does not take spells for some reason). When he got to the end, we one at a time ran as fast as we could before we were hit. Then Scarab would pull us through.
Next was the puzzle that stumped us all, a room with four alcoves that would fit statues....We could not figure out what to do. So we headed home. That was the adventure for the first day.
(That's it for now, I'll write more later.)

Prologue: Whitebane
First off I will introduce myself; I am Avalous Shadowborn a Northerner returning home. I hope everyone new to the city of Axiems has found it to their liking. If not, hopefully you shall...warm up to this place.
Anyway, my reason for writing this Chronicle (and hopefully more to come) is that I enjoy telling stories even though I may not be the best at doing so. Thus I shall be naming the writing as you can see above. Thank you for taking the time to read.
As we walked over the frozen land I thought of the day to gone by and the ones to come. There had been a notice put up that adventurers were wanted in Axiems. I and a few others had decided to make the journey north. My memory of the city is not so favorable. However, the north is a wonderful place for training, and it will be interesting to see how the town has changed.
Lucky for me I didn’t need to waste good gold on clothes. Those had been provided by my late comrade. A man who died strangely when an ashen crusher’s boulder hit him. He suffered great black wound, much like the one on my arm. The man’s spirit seemed to have been crushed. The poor soul had no need for the wonderfully warm cloak he had spent his last coin on. I may as well benefit from others’ losses. I shall name the cloak Whitebane, for its color. I do enjoy naming items.
Getting to the city went without incident. We arrived in good time. Time enough for the green fools to buy cloaks and warm garments. Only one week to the first day of adventuring. We shall see who survives the first snows of winter.

Chapter One: Requirements and Mercy
The day started with fighting orks and other Dagdeoth runoffs. Not much fun, though I guess we need to start somewhere. I have met a few individuals within my party who I might consider of note. Though they have not done much to be given names at this moment.
An Idea: I shall name the people of my party when they have earned their names. Much how I earned mine, Shadowborn.
The battle was short and won with ease. My allies seem to have an adequate amount of skill in combat. I hope their skill will only increase.
Once we returned an introduction was in order for those who had not already found out about the history and rather strange alignment of Aximes. Lady Lesil Sentris, the assassin/necromancer and leader of the town, gave the rundown of missions available for our group. We voted to stop some giants from eating our caribou. I had not much interest in caribou, but I was convinced by a friend to attempt the mission. With that we were off.
The way out there was without incident and clear. Once the party arrived villagers ran out to plead for help. I had little interest in doing much on the front of comforting the villagers. The problem at hand was the giants. We had a few choices:
1: Take them out, via knock out or lots of wounds. (Probably the easiest solution, not much thought required, just timing. It also meets the requirements of the mission. “Destroy them”)
2: Convince them to leave, via gile. (Not so easy, but would have the wonderful outcome of not getting our hands dirty. Too many people talking for this one to be successful, too many ideas. But it does meet requirements. “Drive them off”)
3: Make a bargain...(Eh, what do we have to bargain with? Pretty easy if we can come up with something. However we are small and giants are very large and strong, they are winning. However it does meet requirements: “Drive them off”)
My choice was to try to take them out. Unfortunately the choices of others was not the same as mine. Their choice was to make a bargain. The bargain was to feed the caribou to the giants. I will not name the person responsible for this action.
A Note: I will attempt to not give people names for negative deeds. The exception to this are if the action taken defines who they are. I shall be the judge of that.
The mission ended in failure. Most of the caribou were taken by the giants. We returned to the inn. Lesil had some words to say about our actions. She informed us to follow the guidelines of missions. There was some trouble with a man trying to explain who had been responsible for the failure. Lesil told him to shut his mouth and not rat out his party members. I felt sorry, he was only trying to gain favors. Seems we will need another way to gain favors in the north.
Next was wondering around in town. Abil, The crafter, would meet us and explain what he wanted us to do. Town was not very interesting, there was gladiator fights, and merchants. I had no need to distinguish myself in the mock battles, and merchants required gold. So I waited for Abil.
Abil arrived and told us that he needed some bones and sap from the forest. However, the bones must be from skeletons, and the sap must be from treents. I decided my time was better spent living in town. I will need more experience before attempting that. And so I waited in town with food and company for the party to return.
Finally we decide to go on a mission that I can attempt. Apparently Broncis, the Silent and Gruff wants us to help his ranger patrol to some town and check up on Dagdeoth’s positions. Fighting, fighting, and more fighting. The thing that I need the most work at. Only one thing stood out in the mission. There was a defeated ork, unconscious and helpless. A member of the party had the inclination to kill the soldier. I saw him start to deliver a death blow. Maybe it was my blood, maybe it was sympathy, but I have no idea why but I put out Nightedge to stop his blade. The conversation went something like this: “There is no reason to kill a helpless ork.” “It’s Dagdeoth, they deserve to die.” “But I won’t let you kill it.” With that he backed off and I returned to my place on the patrol’s flank. I cannot say why I did it. Killing a helpless creature without reason or for a childish reason is...wrong. There was not benefit, only a dead ork. And stepping in was a putting myself in risk of a hot temper. I assume we shall see what happens to the both of us if this continues.
Mission was a failure. We needed to retreat, the enemy was too strong. Luckily most of us were safe returning to town. Lady Sentris was not extremely pleased with the outcome but oh well.
Next was some ogres were sacrificing dwarfs to some clawed god. We went to stop them, and the fight ended in us running away for lack of daylight. We killed a great number of ogres. The final mission of the day was to clear out a goblin infestation in some tunnels. We fought and fought and ran and then died. Goblins after goblins after goblins(Fight). Then some turik orks (run) and finally a cave troll (die). Strangely the cave troll was summoned when it finally fell to fire. I suspect we shall need to watch these tunnels more closely in the future.

(Alright I kinda rushed the end to get it in before tomorrow, so screw editing. I will add the songs in a separate post.) Chapter Two: Songs and Wooden ClawsI was fortunately not on very many missions this month. And so the Chronicle will be rather short as of my writing. The writing of others will be included and their names. There were two choices of missions. One to travel up north to the lagramith forest to partake in some elven ritual. “The closing of the Twilight” it was called. I decided to go and see what I could see. Luckily I will didn’t miss much while I was gone, or so my contact has informed me. We set out with a rather large group mostly consisting of non-elves. Not that I mind, I quite enjoy other races not just my own. Anyway, we only had one tracker and a not very experienced one at that. So we were careful about not losing the trail. There was only one encounter on the way. I believe we were unlucky enough believe that we had lost our trail and needed to double back. This cost us time and...some bandages. Once we made it back to the marker that pointed us to the forest we were attacked. Suddenly all of the dwarves and one of the elves fell to unseen attacks. I drew my bow and knocked an arrow, but by the time I looked up our assailants had melded themselves into the trees. I ran over to our fallen tracker who was being healed by two of my comrades. I watched the trees for movement and saw one of our hobbits fall. The creatures were small, the size of dwarves, with claws and leathery skin. A note: Wood trolls These are the smallest of their kin. They have sharp claws and the ability to meld into their surroundings. Unfortunately, their size does not hinder them with taking hits. Thus these creatures make wonderful scouts and advance troops.
I am no great archer, but I do know how to use a bow better than most. I was able to aim and hit the troll with one arrow but my second barely missed. By this time the tracker was able to fight and ran at the retreating troll. I finally had a chance to take bearings, most of us were alive some were being helped with wounds from the other trolls. As I watched another troll appeared from the trees only to be fought off by one of our party. I moved to the rest of the group for safety and started to scan the treeline for our attackers. Only to see the trolls running. I looked over my shoulder to see a flaming corpse of a wood troll. The battle had been won. We reset ourselves on the correct path. From there we reached the outpost in front of the forest, where we were greeted by some dwarves. They were friendly and once they heard of the trolls they sent a guard as an escort. And so we entered the Lagermeth forest. We came across a great stump that some thought had been a mana well at one point or another. It had been cut down probably to produce a tremendous amount of energy. Sad really. But I guess the people who did it had their reasons and those reasons were followed. I only hope that more trees will grow to be as mighty as that on must have been. There was one more noteworthy aspect of the forest. There was dip in the floor, we started to descend at a rather fast rate. However, the trees did not dip, they only grew taller. So if you were to look from the side or top you would see no change in the tops of the trees despite the floor being much deeper. And at the bottom of the ravine there was the elven city. It was built out of the trees and had walkways made of spider’s silk. The sight made me wish that this was how it was across the world just one great forest. But that will never be, so I shall put my thoughts to ones that matter. We were welcomed warmly. We told our story and mentioned the trolls. They said that they had seen our fight and had hunted down the survivors. I was somewhat relieved that we were being watched. I guess it’s always nice to have a guardian angel even if it doesn’t show its face. We were informed on how the “Closing of the Twilight” would be run. All the elves had a chance to perform a song. This included me, thankfully. I spent the rest of the afternoon thinking of what I should perform. I decided that I would do one of my own creations. Some of the group returned to Axiems, others went to patrol the forest. I enjoyed the city. Eventually, the time came for the song to begin. Most of the songs were about passing and such. Others were about seasons, some about the wind. There was even one about some city in the east. About halfway through we were given the chance to perform our song. I got in line and so did the other two. A note: This is an act worthy of naming the participants. And so I shall. Their title, for now will be Songbringer.
My song was the first of ours to be given. I will write it here: "You are the Keeper, May what you keep be safe Your tools the lock and code, your vow unto protection.
You are the Hunter, May what you hunt be yours Your tools the knife and bow, your vow unto the shadow
You are the Seeker, May what you seek be found Your tools the map and compass, your vow unto the road.
You are the Fighter, May what you fight be vanquished Your tools the sword and shield, your vow unto the battle
You are the Healer, May what you heal be fixed. Your tools cloth and medicine, your vow unto the light."
The second song was a lady who’s name I believe was Kyrin, or now Kyrin Songbringer. I will obtain the song she sang when I talk to her next. The lyrics will be added to the end, once I find the elf. Finally we had a song named “Mummers Dance” Performed by Isanna Silverwind, the Songbringer. The approximate lyrics are here: "When in the springtime of the year When the trees are crowned with leaves When the ash and oak, and the birch and yew Are dressed in ribbons fair
When owls call the breathless moon In the blue veil of the night The shadows of the trees appear Amidst the lantern light
We've been rambling all the night And some time of this day Now returning back again We bring a garland gay
Who will go down to those shady groves And summon the shadows there And tie a ribbon on those sheltering arms In the springtime of the year
The songs of birds seem to fill the wood That when the fiddler plays All their voices can be heard Long past their woodland days
And so they linked their hands and danced Round in circles and in rows And so the journey of the night descends When all the shades are gone
"A garland gay we bring you here And at your door we stand It is a sprout well budded out The work of Our Lord's hand"This concludes the songs from the party. The songs from the other elves continued until the end. I had stopped paying attention, there were so many songs. But at all of a sudden people were looking in one direction at a certain elf who wanted to give his song. However, something was different. The people were not certain who to look to, their leader or this new elf. He stepped forward and gave a song. I will need to find the lyrics, but it was not any common tune. They will be added later. With that the ritual was done. I looked around and saw in the trees the shapes and figures of elves long passed. Transparent forms sitting in the trees, watching from the stumps and holding children in the glade. It felt as if all around the leaves of the trees turned to gold and silver. It was a feeling that I wish I could have felt again. As though everything in the world was clear and wonderful. Then it all faded, and the feeling passed, and I returned to being Avalous. Some tried to follow the strange elf. And ask him who he was, what he was doing all he would say was “Lagien” or something of the like. Most likely his name. With that we returned to Axiems to tell our tale, and to hear the tales of our fellow members. I suspect that that small town and Lagien will play a role in the months to come, for better or for worse. With that I leave you. ~Avalous Shadowborn

Chapter Three: A Lesson in ObservationThe cold gets to some but not to others. For some it will seep in and make thoughts uncomfortable or maybe just make you move closer to the fire. Others it does not affect or at least not in that way. For some it seeps into their mind and moves their thoughts to ice. I suspect that even with summer on its way the cold will only become more intense. The day started with fighting. Fighting of the many orcs and others that who are allied with them. Humans and fell on our swords and steel. Surprisingly our, or my, party is very warlike in nature. However, this is not entirely true; there are some who will never seek to harm others. This is a quality that is wonderful in its nature, though they, as the others, will find their faults when the time comes. It is my hope as it is others, that they will hold on to themselves in body and in mind. Back to the adventure at hand. For that is one of the reasons why this story is to written. The second is, of course, to entertain. Since my memory is limited I will only recount one of the many missions, for it is the most informative. And now into accounting facts instead of thoughts. The official mission was to head off and explore the Lagmenth Forest. I decided to follow, for I had enjoyed being in those woods before. We met with the dwarf, Ruby, who gave us the passes into the woods. A Note: Requirements There were only three requirements for entering the forest: 1. Keep Your Pass On You At All Times 2. Do Not Harm Any Animals 3. Do Not Harm Any Living Trees Getting our passes approved was no trouble, and we got to the forest unhindered. We encountered beasts, which were dealt with peacefully, thus no harm was done to animals. Now I will go into a more first person view of the proceedings. I saw harpies, birds with heads like women flying over the forest. They seemed hostile and attacked us once we attracted their attention. Battle ensued. I fought to protect myself. The sad thing about these women birds is that they do not stay wounded. You will have to kill them, to keep them on the ground. I do not condone the unnecessary killings of animals or people. And thus I turned a blind eye to the murder, for that is what a man must do. I climbed a tree to gain a vantage point for the battle. I looked around, and what I saw froze my blood. It was not a ungodly creature, or an uncountable army. No, it was a simple act. A blade falling, cutting, a flash of red fur. Men do very strange things and I am no different. When they are faced with death, they normally look for an escape. Most run. Though there are some who stand and face their death, with hearts of fire and gold they take their fate with faces cold. I ran. Trees passing my right and left. Over fallen trees and under long branches I fled. Not looking back until I was out of the forest that now seemed so dark. I slowed to a walk and crossed the river. I came in sight of the dwarven outpost where we had received our passes to the forest. I told them what had happened and gave up my silver knife as a sign of peace. It was to go to the elves we had wronged. I feel very sorry for those I could have saved. It went in a flash and I was only looking for my own survival. If the situation presents itself again, I will think to hold others as I would hold myself. A Note: For survival. I cannot say who it was who I saw kill the creature. However I do know who gave up one of us who had supposedly done the act. Please, friends are the only thing you have out here in the cold and betraying them will do you no good. Some could say it was luck that saved me. Some could say that I was chosen to be saved. I will say that it was my senses, and observation that gave me my life. I have learned from very young that being able to tell exactly what is happening and what will happen is useful. I would suggest you learn how to do the same. ~Avalous Shadowborn.

I have not written publicly in a while and for that I am sorry. However, work does come before pleasure. With the final days of Summer over much needed to be done to prepare for the cold Fall and the all too soon Winter. I will not be chronicling actions in this piece, only my thoughts; which are useful at some times.
I do hope you all know who to trust. For I have found that some of my family are beginning to commit crimes that I cannot condone. However, I can understand that it may not be in their right mind. This is understandable, the cold, ice and frost have taken their toll on the minds of the people. I just hope that we can stay sane in these cold times. As the day grows old our shadows grow longer until we are engulfed by night and cold. Now if the cold is our enemy I would hope that the darkness is our friend.
I have one last thing to say before I finish this short piece. If anyone has any information or questions please contact me and we can come to an agreement. Good luck.
The shadows are my friends, but the real question is are they yours?

There is a paper posted on the wall of the old inn. (Outside, because the inn is closed). It says:
Dear Lady,
I am sorry that you have rejected my offer, it was a little early to ask. Yet I do believe that we can put our differences aside for now. I know I haven't exactly been the best person in your life. I know that you haven't exactly had an easy time in the last few days. But I promise that if you do come back to me, then we will work together until we can warm up this relationship. Perhaps in time our hearts will warm and if we do this then others may find warmth in their own hearts. I do hope you can find the time to read this and that you rethink your feelings about me...if it is just temporary then so be it. It will be worth it, and that is my promise to you.
~Yours Truly
P.S Say hello to your farther for me. I remember him being quite stern and that might be the reason for your feelings. If he keeps you away from me then, I hope you will find the courage to ask him to let you go for just a little while. I hope you see you soon, my one and only love.
(OOG: if there is a response to this letter, then please post it after this one.)
