I would assume that in it's native realm, everything has a method of dying. Otherwise ecosystems and life cycles and stuff don't make any sense. So once we're there we'll find something. Also elder sorcery. Elder sorcery is always good unless Raustkuru. Also misdirection. Because who needs to kill things when you can get them to look the other way long enough for you to walk quietly past? Actually...
It turns out that doing things the Sorikonia way may be able to do more than just be nice ethically. If you can't hurt something, you throw misdirection techniques at it or you do a lot of bluffing or you just get it to be fed up enough that it doesn't want to deal with you. Which is. What we've been teaching the militia. Huh.

Think there are helpful/"Good" things there? It would make sense, there is evil in our world there would be a spark of good there. Next Question: Do the undead/demons/outsiders rely on magic to survive? Because if so...we have one advantage. Also What do we plan on doing when we are there? (this should be a fun summer vacation)

If I could make one suggestion I would recommend that the origin people who know at least one of the Three demons names should go with us, that would make it substantially easier if we encounter them (which is pretty damn likely). In addition we have to remember that while we are in the Shadowlands we are outsiders, so we are going to have to be careful about excorsisim and whatnot.

Oish. Thoughts on the explosion of discussion that has happened so far -
Morganti: I agree with Allison. Morganti may seem appealing as a solution, but we can't let ourselves sink to that level. Just because somebody hits you doesn't mean that you should hit back. Which is kind of the whole ideal that Sorikonia is all about; rising above that kind of violence and finding a way to solve things besides simple destruction and fighting. The Shadowlands are *absolutely* going to try to turn us over to their side (like, hmm, the same way that vampires do!) because that's what evil does. If it can't defeat you, it will try its best to win by making you do evil things too. Being good is incredibly hard, but that's the only way you win against evil - by facing it without becoming it. So we can't go with morganti unless extreme circumstances call for it.
How We Fight While There: I think it would be reasonable to think of the Shadowlands as a shadow/inversed version of Sorikonia. Quinn's right in that just as there is mostly good in our world but still evil here and there which tries to convert us to it, there must be good in the shadowlands despite that evil - and we are going to be part of that force of good. We should fight in the Sorikonian way. The same way that you light up a dark place with a spark of light (thus "defeating" the darkness), we can continue to live by Sorikonian ideals even though the world around us is everything but. That's how we keep from sinking to their level.
Raustkuru: I actually have no idea if the Raustkuru will be able to make it to the Shadowlands. There are definitely reasons both for "can" and "can't", and we won't know until we're there. But ES might be a reasonable solution for dealing with things down there.
Outsiders: ...Oh gods. I hadn't thought of that. That is really, really weird.
Information about the Shadowlands: "There are many stories of the Shadowlands and the dark beings it holds. It is know as a land of demons "ONI" and a land of the dead returning to rule the living. It has appeared twice before now for sure- once in the dark age around Twi ammonis age and once in prehistory. There are many accounts of minor gates all over Sorikonia and Dsesnor opening up through the ages as the boundary is fuzzy at times and some gates are not even know to be gates at all but just deep dangerous places. So detail is hard. But ultimately the key facts seem to be that it only appears in the East of Roekron and is associated with the underworld of the Japanese /Chinese myths. There are accounts of someone called the White Bone Demon havin some connection to the Shadowlands and the Monkey defeats her."
(We also know that it interferes with the divine, which is why getting people with divine intervention off of Sorikonia is important. They very well may PD in the Shadowlands.)

Do we know how the Shadowlands will affect somewhat divine abilities like pacifism? If it truly is a reversal of Sorikonia wouldn't it have some form of reverse outsider protection like Sorikonia? Except, protection from us?

It may very well. The truth is, we don't know. There's a lot of finding out that we're going to have to do when we finally sink into it, and we're going to have to do it *fast* if we want to survive. This is where being an improviser is better than being a planner.

Demons are not undead, but rather outsiders with undead-like traits.

yeah i know but what are the chances we are not going to die Tell you what, then. You go find morganti and do things your way, we'll go not find morganti and do things our way, and we'll see who's still alive at the end of this. ^_^ Trial by fire, right?
