Lenore Cloudmane
So I guess I'm doing this now. Hi. I'm Lenore. I currently live up in Axiems where I go and do stuff with a group of adventurers. I've finally decided to start chronicling since I figure it might be something that could be useful. I haven't done this sort of thing before, so I do apologize if my chronicles aren't of the highest quality. Also, I believe other people have been chronicling since the beginning of the season, so I won't bother giving background on that sort of stuff. I could, I suppose, but it just doesn't strike me as particularly productive. So on to the actual chronicle.
A few days ago we went out on a mission that Turastar organized. He wanted to go clear the Dagdeoth troops out of the Lagmenth forest so he could get training from the elves. He doesn't want to train in Axiems due to the fact that he doesn't like the strings attached to membership in the guilds. Anyhow, we gathered up for the mission, and got ready to go. I ended up serving as the tracker since I'm a ranger, and we didn't have any other trackers or rangers. I'm only first tier, so I'm not all that great yet, but it was enough to be able to at least find the divisions.
The first division we encountered made short work of us, probably due to the fact that we weren't particularly organized and didn't know what to expect, and thus were fairly ill prepared. We eventually woke up and patched ourselves up, and went and tried again, with a better plan and preparations this time. On our second try we adopted a better strategy, and managed to defeat them. We searched them and went on our way, and encountered a few more divisions, defeating them as well and even finding a few magic items on them. There were a couple of Dagdeoth people who had some kind of items that would explode when looted, so we just treeformed them and left them for the protectorate to have.
We finally ended up encountering a division that was a good amount stronger than the previous ones; enough so that it ended up defeating us. This time they searched us for our magic items, healing a few people and disarming them for their weapons. However, apparently they were short on time so they ended up just taking me with them. Jerks. But the party did follow them to attempt to regain their stolen items, and the Dagdeoth division treeformed me in the back while attempting to fend off the party. Thankfully, the party did manage to hold their own this time, and Isanna came and reverted me and healed me. This time we defeated the division, taking our items back and even managing to loot a few other magic items off them.
Apparently somewhere in there a few people met some elf in the forest who helped them fight (not one of the elves who had been assisting us by shooting the enemies from the trees). I don't really know much about it, seeing as I was wounded and treed for most of the battle where he helped them, but Isanna talked to him some and she seems to have this theory that he's an actual Lagmenth elf or some such.
Anyways, we completed the mission and Turastar got his training, so I suppose all is well.
A few days later we went on another mission with Turastar, this time to go investigate some strange activity in the north with the Snowdrifts. I went with him on this mission as well, because I'm a member of the Snowdrifts too so I figured it might be in my interest to come along.
It was fairly windy and cold where we went, and there were multiple cliffs nearby so we had to be very aware of where we were walking. One of our party members forgot about the danger, and ended up being knocked off the cliff because of his negligence. Up in the north we found a couple groups of undead, mostly zombies and the like. We defeated them fairly easily, and I searched them for papers in case they were anything similar to the groups of dead bodies that animated whenever one searched them. Sadly, there were no papers to be found, and we moved on. We also ended up encountering a group of some weird furry white goblin like things, which the Snowdrifts seemed to think were some kind of "gremlins". They seemed like some kind of weird fey, since they shot these spells that made our clothing temporarily vanish, which seems like a very fey thing to do. Anyways, we wounded all of them, but then shortly encountered a second group of them. This group shot rather more dangerous spells; ones that displaced people in ice or something. I didn't get hit with one, so I'm not actually all to clear on what they did, but I do know that a few of our party members died from it. Anyways, we eventually defeated this group as well, and headed back to town.
So that's pretty much what I've been doing recently. Hopefully I will be able to continue recording my adventures regularly, though I am somewhat dubious about my ability to do so, as I find that I often do not have much time, or am not particularly motivated to do anything resembling work. But perhaps I shall continue, and hopefully my skill at conveying my experiences in adventuring will improve as well.

Lenore Cloudmane
Chronicle for 6/8/14
Adventuring continues to be interesting. Sadly, Isanna wasn't there during our last bout of adventuring, but I still had the Baron to keep me company, so I wasn't too terribly bored. Anyhow, on to the actual events.
The first mission the party went out on was clearing up some drakespawn making trouble near the city. They ended up being toad-men, which is certainly an interesting combination, but sadly not particularly useful to me. I come from a family of animal trainers, and drakespawn are one of the more valuable types of animal as they tend to be relatively rare, making them valuable, and have interesting abilities as well, making them useful, as well as yet more valuable. However, seeing as these were toad-MEN, they weren't particularly susceptible to being trained, so I have no real use for them. The party ended up dealing with them fairly easily, and cut down a good number of them. However, their dominance didn't last long. Three black drakes appeared, and those party members who didn't come running back immediately ended up being taken down by the breath of the drakes.
After gathering up at the inn once more, I was approached by (Jeremy). He had requested my mother's assistance in training some wyrm of his or some such, so I was already somewhat acquainted with him. He ended up loaning me a Shield of the Elder Goddess that he had in his possession, due to the fact that he was unable to use it, being a male and all. Anyhow, that was nice, especially what with the drakes, and the shield giving resistance to breaths.
The next mission I went out on was the mission in the protectorate, where some elves had apparently been tracking something or other. When we got out there, we got a few vague reports of the nature of the being, mainly describing it as some sort of large scary wyrm-like creature or some such, as well as a few reports about it's tracks, which apparently appeared and disappeared in a rather peculiar manner if I remember correctly. Anyways, we continued attempting to find it, and ran into a couple of elves who reported getting some strange sense of fear in its vicinity, which seemed to imply the presence of morganti, seeing as they were elves, and would normally have been unaffected by unnatural fear effects. We continued on, and eventually came to an area filled with some strange undead and ghost-like animals which could go ethereal. These turned out to be fairly hostile, and would pop in and out of ethereal, taking down party members and devouring them if given the chance.
Finally, after some time of travelling the forest, we found the object of our mission. It was a strange looking creature, somewhat like a wyrm, and probably an outsider. As suspected, it did indeed carry morganti, so I wasn't about to get near it as I didn't have the proper tools to face down such a monster. I did my best to protect the other party members, and watched as they fought it. They did manage to take it down a few times, but it would simply end up regenerating and getting right back up again, despite our efforts to set it on fire with flame spells. It would also sometimes shoot out some sort of sphere of energy, which would drain mana from those it hit even through shields or weapons. Eventually, someone managed to disarm its morganti, and ended up simply killing it with that. I wouldn't normally approve of destroying anything in that manner, but in this case we didn't have much choice, and hopefully we did less harm than good.
We returned to town, and took a break to eat our lunch. Over lunch, I went to see Boro Whitehills, as I wanted training for second tier veteran. I received my training, and even got a magic item out of it, a Helm of Gramion Hold. The way guilds seem to keep close tabs on their members around here does make me a bit nervous, but hey, what can ya do.
After lunch, Boro Whitehills asked that we go finish off the ogres that the party had fought earlier, and of course I ended up being guild ordered to go out there and do it. Though I'm really not the best equipped to deal with that sort of thing, it's not like I could just refuse. We did end up beating them relatively easily, though I actually got killed once in the process. Interesting experience, that. Luckily we had a nature mage from town with us who brought me back to life fairly quickly, and soon after we finished them off.
After dealing with the ogres, we went to destroy the shrine, which did end up attracting a couple more ogres, but nothing we couldn't handle. On the plus side, we found plenty of magic items that the ogres had put there as offerings, so that was nice. It was a little chaotic at first, with nearly everyone in the party wanting to know what they were and whether they could have them, but we got it sorted out in short order. We went back to town, and gathered up in a group to distribute the items. We distributed the items based on who could best use them, and all who didn't get items got equipment sets.
Though normally that would have been the last mission, a member of the party was sponsoring a bit of extra time. He ended up deciding that he wanted to go out and finish exploring a ruin that they had looked about in a bit earlier. The ruin ended up being somewhat irritating, as the hallways were clearly built for someone smaller than I, and I could barely even move about. Anyhow, we ended up running into plenty of undead, most of which I couldn't fight because of the lack of space. Eventually, while going down a hallway, the floor fell out from beneath the people in the front of the party. Most managed to jump out of the way, but a few fell into a pit of boiling liquid. This liquid turned out to be simply water, but it was still hot enough to kill a person very, very quickly. Luckily, we had an amazon with us, and someone who could leap, so we managed to transport the party across the gap. We continued down the hallway, and found that there were similar traps at regular intervals, some with red gel inside and some with still water. At the end of the hallway, there was a different trap, one that caused a collapse, and made a boulder start rolling down the hall, which crushed some party members and pushed them into the pool of red gel a short way down the hallway. We managed to get them out and bring them back to life, but they were still covered in the gel. We did some tests, and quickly found that the gel reacted with water to become highly acidic, dissolving solid substances almost instantaneously. Anyhow, we tried to get to the end of the hallway again, and found some large door. I hung back a bit so that if another trap was triggered I wouldn't be affected, but no such trap existed. The people up ahead looked into the room, and I believe there was some sort of shrine or something in there, but I wasn't there myself so I'm not quite certain. Anyhow, it was getting late and we needed to head back, so we decided to leave the investigation of that room for another day. On the way out we ran into some undead, but we just ended up running away from those instead of fighting.
So that's that. We're going to do quite a bit more adventuring later this month, which should be interesting, but will be an awful lot to chronicle. Well, this is just about it, for now at least.

Big Chronicle is big. And a little overdue.
Monday Night Dinner was fun. I sat with Isanna, Turastar, Thalia, and a few others. We talked and ate and laughed and did all those sorts of things one does when eating with friends, and generally had a lovely dinner. There was a moment where Broncus startled me by walking up behind me unnoticed and bumping the back of my neck, which did not exactly please me, as I don’t particularly appreciate being snuck up on. Especially not in a town like Axiems, if you know what I mean. Anyhow, other than that that dinner was definitely enjoyable, and afterwards we gathered up in the inn to decide our missions for the night. The missions that ended up getting picked were investigating some odd goings-on in the Protectorate involving a ritual, and going to check out some weird storm that had moved in recently. I decided to go on the Protectorate mission only, as the storm seemed a bit shifty to me and I didn’t exactly fancy mysteriously disappearing just as things were starting to get interesting.
So, I went off with the group going into the Protectorate. Isanna came along, as did the Baron, since he wished to investigate the ritual, being a necromancer and all. We got there, and as we approached, we started running into a whole bunch of undead animals, just like the first time we encountered the wyrm demon. The party ended up getting split up in the dark, and I was on my own for a while, which wasn’t much fun, seeing as being on one’s own in a forest full of murderous undead animals is not the most pleasant thing in the world. Anyhow, I snuck around most of the undead, trying to remain unnoticed and locate the party. I did end up running into what turned out to be a baby wyrm demon, and idiot that I am I actually tried to fight it. To be fair, I didn’t know it was the wyrm demon because it was dark, and I just thought it was another of the undead animals. However, I figured it out pretty damn fast when it tried to mana drain me, at which point I got out of there as fast as I could. I returned to lurking in the shadows for a while, and eventually I saw Isanna run past with the wyrm demon in pursuit. It took her down and mana drained her to death, then wandered off again. As soon as it was clear again I snuck over to where she was and carried her into a clump of trees where we were relatively well hidden. There, I used her sword to resurrect her. Once she was alive again we stayed hidden for a while, and once we were sure there were no undead around we crept quietly away and got back to town.
In town, some people had some strange pieces of a tablet with some odd runes on them. They worked on matching up the pieces for a while, but eventually decided that they didn’t have enough pieces and would wait for more.
Tuesday Morning
The first mission of the morning was a mission to go into the Protectorate and try again to deal with the wyrm demon situation. I didn’t go myself, but my mother did, her being a paladin and able to deal with demons and whatnot. Anyhow, they got that cleaned up to some extent, so that’s nice at least.
The next mission, which I actually went on, was assisting the Snowdrifts with some undead. The first group we ran into was some humans and other living troops mixed with a few skeletons. We dealt with those decently, and moved on. Next, there was a group of skeletons, which we managed to ambush. We dealt with those fairly decently as well, but actually ended up being ambushed by a different group of skeletons. However, we did manage to take them out as well. Next up, however, was a group with some rather more powerful undead, a Doomguard and a Deathknight I believe. We killed some of the undead, but sadly ended up having to retreat. Well, I guess you take what you can get. At least two outta three ain’t too bad.
Next up was checking out the festival. Apparently there was some shady stuff going on there, and I, being a Snowdrift and whatnot, had to go check it out. I ended up assembling a sort of interrogation squad for myself, with a couple peacekeepers, Isanna, and a guy who had a disable ray so we could properly interrogate those skilled in lying. Not exactly very subtle, but subtle ain’t really my style. There were a couple issues with some assassins, but I really don’t care to get involved in all that. Lesil scares me a little, and I don’t fancy meddling about in her business. Anyhow, we did manage to catch one guy and bring him in, but other than that it was smooth sailing.
Afternoon
Not much to say. We went back into the Protectorate AGAIN, and finally managed to get it all dealt with this time, or so I hope.
Isanna had gone with a group on a different mission, and apparently lost her sword. I’m not too clear on the details, but I heard something about an entire town of villagers being killed. Not exactly sure how that happened, but Isanna and the others seemed sort of upset when they returned, and it really doesn’t seem like them to do something like that, so I am reserving judgement until further notice.
Night
Tonight was… interesting. But that comes later. Let’s not skip around.
The first mission we went out on was dealing with some reports of hill giants causing issues. We left town, and on our way out we ran into a group of villagers who were shouting about some kind of demon or something attacking them. We were curious, and talked to them further about it. From what we could tell, only one guy had actually seen the thing. Apparently it was fairly big, but not huge, and had been wailing and throwing things around. I sort of doubted that it was a demon, seeing as they were all still alive, and there weren’t any reports of weird magic things or wings or anything like that. My first thought was that it was a giant, but according to the man who had seen it, it wasn’t quite that big. Plus, that didn’t account for the wailing. So, baby giant throwing a tantrum maybe? We almost decided not to investigate it, but as it turned out, their home was right on our way, so we decided to stop by. We got there, and went cautiously into the house. I had been right. It appeared to be a very small flame giant who seemed to be very upset. (Kate) Approached it and tried to calm it down, and the rest of us stayed back and tried to appear non-threatening. (Kate) managed to calm it down to some extent, and told us that it said something had hurt its parents, and probably with morganti. I and some others wanted to go check this out, but some party members objected, seeing as the original purpose of our mission had been to kill giants, not help them. However, we did end up deciding to go after whatever had hurt the giant’s parents, as we really did not like the idea of letting something with morganti go wandering around freely for any longer than necessary. So, I and a few others put our tracking skills to good use, trying to figure out where the baby giant had come from. We tracked up a mountain, and eventually found tracks of a whole bunch of giant, and even a morganti cut off giant hand. There were also some signs of a fight, and some odd burn marks on the ground. Also, some tracks of some kind of troll, though not one that we were particularly familiar with. So, probably a rift troll. Anyhow, we kept going, and eventually saw the group up ahead. It appeared that the rift troll had taken control of a group of hill and flame giants. We followed them, and were eventually noticed, and attacked. We did our best to fend off the giants, and tried reasoning with them, but they were too afraid of the rift troll to be willing to cooperate. Finally, we managed to take the rift troll down, and treeform it. From what I heard later, what had happened is that the Baron snuck up behind it in the ethereal plane, came out, and simply death rayed it in the back, and then someone else treed it. Rather anticlimactic if you ask me, but I’m not complaining. After the troll got taken down, talking with the giants was a lot easier. The Baron offered them a home at his fort, and a few ended up accepting. We went back to town and reported what had happened. A message was sent to a nearby town about the rift troll so that they would send someone to exorcise it before morning. My mother, paranoid as she is, didn’t quite trust them though, and went with the Baron to make certain that it did actually end up exorcised. But all went well, and from what I hear they even got some rift troll dust out of it, which they gave to Abel.
The second mission of the night is the interesting one. I did some hanging around town and such, but I’d much rather skip to the important part. There was a patrol in the Protectorate that night, and I had decided to come along. We gathered up and headed out. Entering the protectorate, we walked past a few animals and such, but obviously didn’t hurt them, and got out of there as quickly as possible. A little while later, we ran into two people, acting somewhat shiftily. We questioned them, and found that they didn’t have any permits to be in the protectorate, so we knocked them out and took them along with us. As we continued, Kusari’s hound began acting oddly, as if it was nervous. Around the same time, we heard some singing coming from deeper in the Protectorate, from the direction of the wilder areas. We were considering where we wanted to go, but suddenly the cause of the hound’s apprehension became apparent. There was a Dagdeoth division coming towards us. We considered our options. Fight, run out, or run toward the singing. We decided that there was no chance for us if we fought, and if we went toward the singing we might find allies, so we decided that was where we were going. The Dagdeoth division was approaching, and we ran. I got fairly far away, but then found that some members of our party were missing. I decided to try to go back for them, and headed cautiously back in the direction of the division, sure my allies were either wounded or dead. However, as I approached, I heard Kusari’s voice, and neither heard nor saw any sign of the division. I walked up to them, and they told me that apparently a tree branch had fallen upon the whole division and squished them. I was amazed, but we really needed to get back to the party, so we started heading back. We joined up with the others, and began walking toward the sound of the singing.
That’s when we met Lagine. He was walking among the trees and singing, and gathering up spirits with his staff. The song was that which had apparently been sung at some ritual thing earlier in the year, though I don’t know much about it as I wasn’t there. But it’s called Ulalia, which apparently translates to “Twilight Song”, and from what I gathered Lagine was singing verses that the others had not heard before. We walked around, following him, and he and Kusari talked. They talked about the Goddess and how no one knows her name. They also talked about the elven afterlife, which apparently Kusari is involved with somehow. He seemed very sad and somewhat bitter, and yet he wasn’t too terribly opposed to having us there. I don’t recall the specifics of what was said that time, as it was late and I was tired, but hopefully there are others in our party who recall better than I. After talking for a time, Lagine informed us that we needed to go. He said that the spirits were going to become angry, and that we didn’t want to be around when that happened. So we left, and returned to town, and went to bed, with plenty to think about.
Wednesday Morning
The next morning, we decided that we were going to go investigate the storm some. Coming along with us on the mission was some fancy mage from Pinnacle, called Nina. She’s some kind of weird species, a Kai-Shang, and basically looks like a giant bipedal otter. But she’s apparently pretty damn powerful, being a Pinnacle mage and all, so there’s that. She had joined us a few times for meals, and thus I was already somewhat acquainted with her, but still not particularly well. When we got to the edge of the stormy area, she mentioned that the area inside seemed somewhat like a distortion of reality, like going into another plane or some such. However, she didn’t want to try to dispel it, since dispelling something while inside it might not be the wisest of plans. So we continued on normally, walking deeper into the storm. One the way, we encountered some of the usual things one finds up north. Some of those weird gremlins, a few Mastiff bears, and some wolf people. Nothing all too special (well, if you don’t count giant magic bears and little gremlins casting crazy spells as special). We pressed on, trying to avoid the gremlins spells while still keeping them in a decent mood so they wouldn’t murder us. Didn’t really want that. One did end up hitting me with a “I fill your pants with snow” spell. Too bad for it I’m a centaur, and don’t have any pants to speak of.
Eventually, we encountered an ice wraith/shadow walker/ominous thing. Some of the party went up and talked to it, asking what is was and what it wanted. I’ve been keeping my distance from those things, as I don’t particularly fancy the idea of having my mind invaded by some weird undead snow monster thing. This does however mean that I’m probably not the best qualified person to relate what happened with it, but I’ll make some attempt. Anyhow, this wraithy monster thing would occasionally do some thing where it mind controlled those around it, at which points, I and Bridge- that odd paladin lady- would come around and remove the mind controls, after which I would promptly back off again. Eventually Starlin said to it that it was the Ominous, causing it to promptly disappear.
We returned to Axiems, and started to pick our next mission. It ended up being a set of expeditions up into the north. Some people were going to go map the area, some to recover magic items, and some to do a bit of archaeology. I myself decided to go with the archaeology group. We ended up accompanying some archaeologist who wanted to do a bit of digging in some ruins or something up north. We got there with little to no trouble, at which point out job became to guard the man while he dug. This was accomplished fairly easily, as the only real trouble was some gremlins, which are relatively easy to distract if one is willing to endure their magical pranks. I ended up getting brainfreeze, shivering uncontrollably, turning colors, and dealing with a variety of other pranks which apparently amused them to no end. Anyhow, the archaeologist was soon finished, and it turned out that what he dug up was more pieces of the tablet we had found bits of earlier. We returned back to town, and began attempting to barter with him for rights to the pieces. He was apparently unwilling to give them up for anything less than ten magic items, though he was willing to give them to us for eight if we would give him information about what we did with them. Despite how unhappy we were with this, we needed those pieces, and I began the process of plying people for magic items to help our cause. I quickly managed to gather up five, but was having some difficulty getting the rest. To make it even more difficult, we had decided that we really did want to keep our actions with them a secret, so we couldn’t take the discount. I came up with the idea of getting a high level trader to help us, to maybe drop the price a little. I went to Abel asking about where I could find someone like this, and as it turned out Abel himself was one. He went and talked to the archaeologist, and managed to get the price lowered to eight magic items for the pieces without having to provide information. We were quite pleased about this, and quickly scraped up the few remaining magic items to get the pieces, and made the exchange.
Afternoon/Night
In the afternoon, our first mission was another group of shamblers. I ended up staying in town for this, though my mother went instead as she is fairly well equipped to deal with this sort of thing. The next mission I went on was that evening. A group wanted to go back into the Protectorate to speak with Lagine again. This was somewhat difficult to arrange, as we wanted as small a group as possible, but many people wanted to come. Some people were cooperative, but a few, such as Higgins, adamantly refused to be left out. Seeing that we weren’t going to be able to change their mind, we simply accepted it and allowed them to come. We walked into the forest, practicing the Ulalia song, until we had an encounter. There in the forest was a Dagdeoth division, of decent size. Though our party’s size was not particularly good for the main purpose of the mission, it was good for defense, and we managed to defeat the division relatively easily. We moved on, and soon came to the start of the wilds. However, the border was guarded by a huge number of ironwood ents. Isanna walked up to them and attempted to calm them and such, but they simply killed her. Our nature maged used regeneration touch on her, and she tried again and got killed a second time. The healing was repeated, and she eventually backed up. We then began to sing Ulalia, though I am not certain who started us off. This appeared to calm the ents down, though we did encounter some issues because Higgins was still being aggressive. However, we did eventually manage to get them to calm down, and they appeared to fall into something similar to sleep. We went through, cautiously and quietly, and continued on our way. However, it was beginning to get dark, and some people were having second thoughts about missing the later missions for this. Even Higgins decided he might want to return, and I agreed to return as well if it would mean he would leave. Fortunately, it ended up that I didn’t have to go, and that Higgins would return either way, so I stayed. After Higgins departed along with one of his friends, I and the rest of the party ventured on into the heart of the forest. There we once again found Lagine, singing and wandering about the trees. We sang along with him to the verses we knew, and followed him along his path, talking and asking him questions. I don’t know how much of the conversation I will really be able to remember, but I can try. Here’s some approximation of the conversation from my own notes and from what others remember. Know that there are parts missing, and the quotes are not precisely accurate. Lagine: “Why are you here?” Isanna: “We want to help.” (Some remarks are made which I can’t recall/couldn’t hear.) Kusari: “(Says something I couldn’t hear.)” Lagine: “Try eight thousand.” Kusari: “Is that how long you’ve lived?” Lagine: “I don’t remember. It all blends together after a while.” (More things I don’t remember.) Lagine: “The problem is to do with the river. Can’t say if I’m the real me. Probably one of me. But not the right one. But I wouldn’t know.” Kusari: “You mean we’re in the wrong time.” Lagine: “Could say that. But I’m not sure that there is a wrong time. There’s only one. (something about time being offended at being called not the right one?)” Kusari: “Then this isn’t the one we should have been.” Lagine: “Should isn’t really a good word.” Kusari: “Not the one we could have been.” (Some other discussion.) Lagine: “It’s all about the problems. Problems are the answers. You know them and you know what you’re looking for. What flaw are you looking for?” Isanna: “The one that made the door shut.” Lagine: “Okay, the flaw that shut the door. If you’re willing to handle it, I’m sure you’ll figure it out. It’s all about balance.” Kusari: “It can’t be balanced when they’re forced to stay.” Lagine: “It is. There’s a price they have to pay for what others chose.” Kusari: “So the elves should have left?” Lagine: “Someone should have gone, but they didn’t want to. Someone powerful.” Kusari: “The goddess?” Lagine: “If that’s what you want to call her. No one knows her name. They call her all kinds of things. I don’t know, thats not my pantheon.” Kusari: “What is?” Lagine: “That’s a good question. When you figure it out, tell me.” Kusari: “What’s Ulalia?” Lagine: “Twilight song. Ulalina, actually.” (Some other stuff, don’t remember specifics. Something about the spirits.) Lagine: “I try to ignore them, I usually fail. I’m not good at succeeding.” Kusari: “You’re succeeding at something.” Lagine: “Yes, at gathering them and keeping them from driving me completely insane. Sometimes I don’t do as well.” Starlin: “It seems to help them too.” Lagine: “Maybe. Probably helps them from going crazy too. I don’t know what this place would be like with two hundred and fifty (I think that’s the number) crazy elven haunts were in it, but definitely not a place our Orixriel could have his little village in, and have his little parties and have fun in.” (Someone): “You seem to be a little spiteful about him.” Lagine: “He’s an Oriri elf. He doesn’t belong in our forest.” (Some discussion about him and his elves, and him being their shepherd.) Lagine: “I had a morganti weapon once. Almost did it.” Kusari: “Why didn’t you?” Lagine: “I just couldn’t do it.” [Stops while drawing a spirit out of the ground. Looks like a female mage in a long dress who has long dark hair.] “Oh.” Me: “Someone you knew?” Kusari: “Sorry for your loss.” Lagine: “What do you know? What do you know about having someone you actually loved, who actually died, and now you have to relive it every night? Every night in the company of two hundred of your people! It’s a good thing I’m immune to mental effects, or else I would have killed you all by now.” (Ray): “But you seem so willing to do this task. Not joyously, but.. energetically.” Lagine: “I’ve just figured out that it’s better to just deal with the problem.” (Some commentary about him complaining about things, and why not since he’s got all of us here.) Lagine: “Don’t heroes have better things to do? Like killing the Dagdeoth troops gathering outside the forest because someone’s summoning them? Probably one of you, or something you brought.” (Discussion among the party about what we do and oh hey where’s Thalia and oh crap.) Lagine: “You could always spend the night here. I mean, you’d go crazy, but you’d be safe.” (Ray): “So what did you do here before the elven afterlife was closed?” Lagine: “I had a job here. When you figure that out I’ll tell you more about it.” (Some talk about weird time stuff and how Isanna’s sister talks a lot about it.) Isanna: “There was a ship. Called the Waveprancer. I dunno, I was too young back then. But there were two of them and something about the masts was off and stuff.” Lagine: “A weapon.” Isanna: “What? Weapon? Like a weapon of fate?” Lagine: “Kind of. Fate’s one of those things. If something is fated to happen, will it happen or does it have to happen? If I say, ‘With the Elder Sorcery of Storm, these plants grow.’” [plants in front of him start growing] “Does that mean that they will start growing or that they have to grow? Were they fated to grow like that or do they do it because I said that? If something is said in Elder Sorcery, it has to be true. But in what way is it true?” [Directed at Kusari]:”If I say, ‘with the elder sorcery of necromancy, you will die’ But you didn’t just die.” Kusari: “No, but I will.” Lagine: “Yes, you will. And that’s not unusual, given what you do. Even if you live your whole life without dying, you still will at the end. Fate is funny like that. I can make something fated to happen, but if it would happen anyhow then it’s just a matter of how. Is fate just a way that Elder Sorcery is interpreted? Now, do you want to stay in here, do you want to go out the front way and face Dagdeoth, or do you want to go out the back way?” Me: “The back way would be preferable.” Lagine: “So. When you figure out what I do, you come back and bring me evidence.”
We then returned to Axiems, and several of us promptly rushed off to our rooms to record the conversation. However, night missions were not over yet, and we still had things to accomplish. The next thing we decided to do was deal with yet another wyrm demon. So, we headed off into the Lagmenth forest yet again.
It was the same deal as usual, for the most part. Animal spirits which attacked us and a wyrm demon with morganti. This one was somewhat odd though. It had some glowy thing attached to it on its back, like a long ribbon of colored light. Anyhow, we fought it. I got close to it and disarmed its morganti, and handed it off to Higgins. Higgins proceeded to wail. Eventually, it died, and the ribbon of light that had been attached to it came off and started flailing around. It sucked energy from those it touched, and though Higgins attempted to attack it with the morganti, it didn’t seem to be affected. Eventually, it shrank, gradually getting smaller until it was just a tiny shimmery place in the air, and then finally nothing at all. Having dealt with the demon and the unidentified flailing object, we headed back to town, and finally collapsed into bed for some much needed rest.
Thursday Morning
The next morning, we gathered up at the inn once more for another bout of adventuring. The next mission that we decided on was tracking down the last of the wyrm demon things. When we arrived at the entrance to the forest however, the elves said that they were unwilling to let us in unless we would kill the ogres inside. We grudgingly agreed to this, and they allowed us to pass. We did indeed encounter these ogres, and we fought them just as we had promised. After dealing with that, we headed over to the ritual zone that we had found previously. From there, we tracked around, eventually ending up at a shattered wyrm egg, probably one that had already hatched. However, some members of our party were being a bit slow, causing Thalia to decide to go without us. One party member fewer, we continued following what tracks there were, until we came upon Thalia, who appeared to have found a whole egg and had smashed it and performed some sort of makeshift exorcism on it. We were investigating the remains of the egg when we got a little surprise. A group of what appeared to be Dagdeoth assassins jumped out at us, almost every one wielding morganti. We, being a relatively small party, and being decently intelligent, quickly decided to beat a hasty retreat. A few party members did end up being left behind, but we weren’t exactly in a position where fighting was an option. I did manage to disarm the morganti weapon from one of them, but the party dragged me away before I could do anything particularly stupid. We then ran back to town, and reported the recent events to the officials currently available.
That ended up being my last true mission of the day. The rest of the party did go one some other mission; something about a dungeon with a litch in it. I’m not sure, and it’s probably better told by those who were actually there. Anyways, I went and helped out some with the tablet, and worked on the code for the rest of the morning. With the help of some high level scribes and a few other codebreakers, we managed to finally break the code and then quickly translated it and shared it with the party. Irritatingly enough however, just as we were actually getting somewhere with the tablet, Lady Sentris decided to take possession of the stones. Apparently we had borrowed some of the pieces from some museum that she had control over, and we had told them that they could have the pieces at the end of the day. So the stones ended up locked up behind walls both physical and of the metaphorical variety composed of heaps of bureaucracy and paperwork. On the bright side, we can still access them, but it’ll just take a whole lot of very tedious work to do.

My notes from the last campout (finally), since my chronicle still isn't finished and probably won't be for a while. Conversation with Orixriel: - It was 5,000 years ago that the elves came across with the ships.
- Certain periods where time didn't exist.
- He thinks humans are bad at records, which is why the gaps in time/history exist
- The elven families on the ships that we have records of are the noble ones
- Lagin's group killed the centaurs and took over
- They were hunters, trackers, and crafters- made illegal/dangerous arts and weapons
- His family cares for the forests and raised plants and made bows. They liked dryer areas, and were majorly nature mages and earth healers.
- Lagin was the last noble at some point, but was unappreciative
- He was involved in crafting, even of legendary items.
- Orixriel doesn't think they're really evil, they just need help.
- He thinks they're prone to dangerous behavior
- Lagin used to live in Orixriel's village, but now refuses
- He feels haunted and troubled by his past
- The previous elves in the area were killed by Svodlun, Dagdeoth, invasions, logging, and the WTO.
- 100-200 remaining when Dagdeoth began to invade
- Some were killed by their own forest
- Their magic is powerful but very dangerous
- Some creations were powerful but with dangerous consequences, and were unstable
Compilation of my and Allison's notes on the conversation with Lagin: Lagin: "Why are you here?" Isanna: "You said to come back when we had some idea who you were." "Did I? I forgot. Must've lost track of time." "You were a crafter." "You mean a flawseeker?" "If that's the term you'd rather use." "Its not rather. It's the proper one. *mutters about making beautiful items of value* So, what'd you figure out?" "By number, you either came over with the elves or time is being funny. Which I guess it is a lot." "Is it? Causes problems. We all make mistakes. All make mistakes." "We got a message. It's in a code I've only ever seen from one place." And that is?" "Most people call it the dream realm." *turns all attention on Isanna* "And who gave it to you?" "It looked like the thing that drives the storm." Alais: "We went there today." *turns to Alais, angry* "You did what? Why did you do that? Do you not understand balance? Going to places where you have no business." Isanna: "We had to protect the city. We were told there was a messenger." "By what? What's manipulating you? Would you do anything if anyone told you? Would you kill each other if I told you to? You go playing around, toying with things where you can disrupt the balance. I should know." "Anyways. The message referred to time like it was a lake, not a river." "True. It may overflow its banks. I don't think you want to stay. It'll get cold." "Why will it overflow?" "People keep building. Building bridges and levies. Deciding where the river should go." *ethereal point of light appears. Elven woman with many white lilies on her rises. Looks polite and cautious* "Why can't the bridges be taken down?" *addressing haunt* "It's a pleasure to see you. Would you care to walk? How did you get here? *some comment about having seen the stars and flowers*" *touches her* *she startles* "I apologize. I shouldn't have pushed. Can we begin again? It's a tall glade. Beautiful. You remember when- *touches her*" *she startles again* *screams* *We are all knocked back and mana drained. Then we take another mana drain and pain damage, and fall unconscious. We get a sense of grief from Lagin, and a sense of outrage from Lily. We eventually all wake up outside the protectorate.* My notes on the thing with the haunt sickness thing: Taken into a room where Jill is lying unconscious on a bed. Try healing and herbalism, but nothing works. Seems like poison, but weird. Eventually something happens (not sure if something triggered it or if it just happened) and a haunt rises out of Jill's chest. Haunt female, talking to attractive man whose clothes are considerably less nice than hers. They kiss, then she leaves. Big scary looming people talk to her, then go talk to ugly man with her. She doesn't like ugly man. Switch to attractive man, and the haunt lady is pregnant. Switch to ugly man, and an exchange of rings is seen. She is unhappy, searches her room for a while, drinks from bottle in her room. She collapses, and seems momentarily shocked, like she just remembered something. Then she is transparent, and sort of looking through her hands. Urun talks to haunt: "Love is the end of duty, but death is the end of everything." Stops. Interested. "We're here to help." Angry. "We're here to help your child." More. "You misunderstand. We're here to help you make your own choice." Interested. "You are torn between the ones you love. Death will hurt all of them." "You don't understand." "I understand a parents desire to help their child." Angry. Size three thing. Holds up vial threat. "It's your choice to make." Confused. Holds up questioningly. "I am one who expects nothing of you" "why?" "Because I know the moment you make a decision that is someone else's choice, you have truly given up your life." Nods. Hear faint "what would you do in my case?" "I would pick love." Looks like she'll drink vial. "That is your choice." "You won't stop me." "No" "who are you" "I am someone who has been in this position before and has come out of it." You didn't choose the end" "I wanted to but there was still part of me that refused." "What part" "the part that felt it could still influence the world in some way" "what point is influencing without love." "That's for you to find out." Angry. "There's no life without love." Drinks. Touches stomach. Concerned/shocked. Isanna "Why." Confused. "Why." Confused. "I'm someone who made the other choice and has yet to decide if they regret it. Though the circumstances were not so dire." Confused/suspicious. "Tell me why you are planning on drinking that. Any answer you give is legitimate. There are no wrong ones." Twists ring. Size 3 image. "I'm not going to stop you if that's what you really want." Vindicated anger. Holds up vial. "losing something even if it is the most important thing doesn't mean you'll never have anything again." What do you mean. ..."Uncertainty is not a reason to make a decision." Sense of I know what I'm doing. "What will there be in the future" an end. "An end. So the last thing you'll be is this?" Better than the other. Looming ugliness. "Is that worth sacrificing the good you'll have in the future? I'm not saying he's good, but there may be good." No hope. "Are you afraid?" No. (not really true.) holding up bottle. "Are you afraid of what might happen if you choose to live." Not what in choosing. "I'm not saying it was, but are you afraid of what might happen if it was." "Let me tell you a secret: Where there is fear there is hope." No recognition. What do you mean. "I mean that if there is enough uncertainty an it is worth wing afraid of the. There must be hope." No good can come of this. "Why." There's no love. "There is more than one kind of love. And even if you do not have it for him there are sorts I think you know you can look forward to." Dawning comprehension. Vial goes lower. Other hand drifts to stomach. It is a loathsome life. "And yet neither so loveless or so hopeless as you first seemed to think." Would you have me live this lonely life. "Where there is life there is hope." Lets go of vial. Sadness. Stops spinning ring. Pushes back on with loathing. Begins to walk. Away from you. Moment of pause/perhaps/hope. Fades into body of Jill. Hear with spirit guide "it could have been." See Jill open eyes. Startled. Seems fine. Looks at Urun and Isanna. "You were in my dream." Looks at hands. See through then? Looks at ground for something. Looks back. "I remember. I think I ended it badly." "I think you have a second chance." "No there's no real second chances, but now I understand that it was wrong. Or that it could have been." Looks at hands. "I wasn't always.. This. I think you're right. I do get a second chance. But it's not going to be the same." Guards look at her like she's a weirdo. Seems young, but more confident/mature. Looks at Urun and Isanna. "thank you. I think I see who I was and who I am." Shakes hands.

So I guess I thought I'd finished/posted this but never did. So here's an incredibly late chronicle for the first event and whatnot. I never quite finished it, so the end bit is in the form of notes. But oh well, here we go:
Eleanor "L" Cloudmane January 2015 Chronicle Adventuring has been interesting! This last adventuring session, we didn’t do incredibly much cause we only went to the elven festival and that took a long time. But it was fun!
First we had to go out to the elven place, which meant we needed a pass and stuff. We went to Ruby for that, and she gave us the passes and some other supplies, which was really nice, but she seemed kinda sad. She said she wanted to go but couldn’t cause she hadn’t lost anyone. I think she still shoulda gone, and just said it’s for other people and stuff, because we adventurers went and didn’t need to make sure we had a really good reason. But anyhow, she gave us the stuff and we went into the protectorate.
On the way, we heard some kinda rustling, so we checked it out, and there were a bunch of goblins there. (Allison) told them to run away, and they started to do that, but then whatshisface, the one in the cloak from the vampiry place, threw a dagger at them and they attacked us. The battle took a while but we did eventually win, but one girl got killed cause I guess she isn’t very strong or something. Anyways, we kept going, and we heard another something in the bushes, and one guy, another of the “L” people I think (not like my people, but like people whose names start with L), checked and it seemed like a ranger or something but kinda weird and they talked and then we kept going. After a while we got to some tree stumps where people left offering thingies, and some of us left stuff, and I even left a bag of rosemary wrapped with a ribbon from the riddly things we did at the festival. When we were there some person who looked kinda like an elf but green showed up, and we talked to him. He seemed to think he was a God of some sort and he wanted offerings and asked us to follow him, but none of us wanted to cause I think none of us thought he really was a God, and even then he wasn’t a very nice one. After a while, another group from our party showed up, and we went to the festival.
At the festival, the elves went first, and a lot of the people from our party did stuff like poems and songs. After some of the things, we would see visions and stuff. I had spirit guide too though, and I’m not sure how much of what was spirit guide and what was normal. Also, most of the stuff I have about the visiony things is from Ellion because she took good notes and I didn’t, so credit for that stuff goes to her. So, a few people went, and after Jilsen went things turned kinda silver and I couldn’t see with my left eye for a bit, and things felt kinda blurry, so that was kind of weird, but I suppose that’s cause we were at a fancy ritualy festival where weird things tend to happen. Then, after Cirdan and Ivamin did their rune poemy thing, things turned kinda silver again and I saw dome of spirits watching, and one of the runes flickered and went blank. Then after Ellion’s thing, there was a watery sense and the dome of spirits again and a prow of ship with gold shimmering stuff and oars rowing, and I was blind in right eye for a little. Next Durotan, who’s an orc, got to go, and he untied himself which I think make the elves kinda not happy, but they didn’t shoot so that’s okay, and he got to sing his song in orcish. But then they did shoot three arrows, but (Elliot) blocked two and one seemed like it should hit him but it shattered, and the earth felt shimmery and silver especially near Durotan. But then Orixriel stood and said, "you desecrate this ceremony, there will be no violence" so the elves didn’t try again which was good. After that, the humans went. After Eleanor’s turn, there was this weird moment where everything seeming really big, and this feeling like of being on your back and kinda a confused feeling. Then we saw these two figures, a male one and a female one, wearing armor who seemed important and like we were connected to them, and the man got crushed by something and the woman seemed kinda defensive and threw her shield to the side and moved toward this shadowy thing. Then there was a moment where I couldn’t see anything, and then a flash of a straight black line intersecting a blue field with a reddish light behind it and a coldness and a feeling like what morganti’s supposed to feel like. After that the green elfy guy asked for an audience with god of area and said some stuff that made it seem like he didn’t understand how gods work, and then he kinda just left. Next, Tutor went, and she did a poem that was mostly shouting about Kronos, but her friend knocked her out, but then Orixriel asked why he did that so he healed her again and she finished. We got another vision thing then, where we heard the sound of the ocean and my hooves were tickly and warm then very cold, which was strange. After that we heard the sound of a river, but that slowed to a trickle sound, and my head felt really heavy. After that, (Kate) sang a song that was in some other language that I didn’t know, and the silvery feeling turned gold and we saw a garden. There was a lady moving through it touching leaves and looking at plants and stuff, and a bright white flower off to the side. After that vision, I couldn’t see for around 20 seconds, and there was this sharp stabbing sensation through my front midsection (the human part) to my back. Next Vanessa did a thing, and after it there were drums and footsteps, and I saw burning blood and then saw myself like I was looking in a pool, but then the water freeze but the reflection still there anyhow. Then there was another sharp pain, and the ice cracked. Next Elliot went, and after him we saw a winged person behind Elliot with flaming sword for a moment. This made Vlad run away cause I guess he’s scared of angels and stuff or something. Then we saw the sun shining from behind Elliot and the sound of horse bridle and metal shifting, and we heard movement of something and some horns. Then, the dome bent out across from where he was and it got long and things charged in at him that looked aggressive and were carrying lightning and hammer banners (which I think are Norse). After that, the sun got brighter and the Norse things faded as they got to the circle and the dome went back to normal
Hobbits (Natania) - large number of elves walking in the woods, walking with them, figure with staff bending over and reaching for the white flower from the garden vision, he looks over, brief recognition (Lagin), but then not. His eyes get big and scary, hand goes chest, feel like we've experienced that. Brief blindness. Elano - vast darkness above, like the night sky but up too close. Night sky pours into the dome. Something moving the shape of a woman, starlight moves along her. "What broken dreams must you artifice ... when all out paradise was this", sucks back up, everybody goes blind.
Dwarf Ella - dome of spirits, some flee and become foggy. Feels odd?
Lagin - A swarm of haunts gather after his song Follow through the fog singing Come to grove Spectral flowers Touch flowers something fades Eleanor straightens, elven formal courtesy bow, walks along as with someone, steps back, affronted, unsafe, pain, conversation, formal discussion, almost laughter, anger, lash out, pain

Eleanor "L" Cloudmane Festival 6/6/15
The festival was fun and stuff I guess. I talked with people and stuff for a while, then did magic item trading stuff and got some useful things. Mainly the big thing at the festival was the trial that happened, because the Whiteforks people were being tried for trying to heal the prince who got morganti wounded. Well really they were being tried because some people thought they were trying to kill him (or probably they were using that as an excuse to get them in trouble because they didn’t like them, but actually the people were trying to heal him). Should I be being more diplomatic about this? I dunno. I figure fancy people like that shouldn’t care all too much about what just one person thinks, especially being as there’s a whole lot of people who think and say the same thing. Well I hope I don’t get killed or something, but I guess I can add a disclaimer that this is all my opinion and something about it being “allegedly” that way? So there were the Whiteforks people being tried, and Thresa doing the judging stuff, and Prince Neville sitting next to her looking fancy. So basically the trial happened and even the High Queen showed up cause I guess she didn’t really trust Thresa and stuff, cause like I said, there were people trying to get the Whiteforks people in trouble cause they don’t like them. But people testified and stuff, and I guess it went well.
First Thresa said some stuff, then the diplomat guy whose name I forget but could probably look up but don’t want to gave the argument against the Whiteforks people. He said all the people he talked to said the Whiteforks people were trying to kill the prince and that they had mafia connections and bad things, and that all the people he talked to were wearing items that made it so they couldn’t lie so obviously their testimonies must be correct. While he said stuff all the Sorikonia clan people who were there looked like they were paying attention to make sure he was telling the truth, and they seemed satisfied, though it’s still important to notice that there’s ways of lying while still telling the truth. Like “I didn’t steal nothing” when you stole something or stuff like that. But anyway, after that guy said they were guilty, the people who were defending the Whiteforks people talked.
First this Sorikonian guy whose name I also don’t remember talked and said basically what I was just saying about there being ways to lie without people knowing, even if they’re peacekeepers or you’re wearing an item that only lets you tell the truth. He also said some stuff about understanding what it’s like to have something that’s precious to you hurt with morganti cause he’s Sorikonian and they had all that morgani explody stuff happen.
Next Abel talked I think, and called up an adventurer and asked him how to use items. The adventurer didn’t get it, and kept telling Abel to get on with it even though Abel was getting on with it. Anyways, Abel basically also talked about evading anti-lying affect things, and said that the people who wore the items that didn’t let them lie could have been doing stuff like wearing a ring on a necklace, so they were wearing it but not using it.
After that Enyari went up. She’s a fancy diplomat person who used to be an important adventurer. She talked about the people from Whiteforks saying that the Whiteforks important people and Prince Norino liking each other and how the Whiteforks important people defended the prince when someone tried to kill him so obviously they wouldn’t want to kill him cause that would be dumb. Also there were mafia issues in Whiteforks and the mafia had already sent threats to the Whiteforks fancy people and threatened the prince with morganti. Also she said Linder was a person who had studied morganti and was there to heal the morganti. She did say that the people had to break into the palace to get to the prince to heal him, and said some stuff about how morganti could get healed and that the people were trying to do it. Then she called Melissa the Scald up as a witness. Melissa had a whole bunch of morganti, and I think was weilding Merigrad’s Reaper, and they wouldn’t let her in the circle of protection. She said she would blow it up if they didn’t open it, and they didn’t, but she just ended up testifying from outside it. She said that she had been healed of morganti so it was possible. Also she kind of insulted Thresa’s diplomat and said he was a liar, and said Thresa should have more self respect, and I think she woulda gone on but Enyari stopped her and got her back on track.
Last the Sorikonian guy went again because he had saved his witness for last, and he called Shanetill and asked her questions. He asked what she wanted to accomplish, and she said she wanted to heal the prince, and he asked her why, and she said because he’s her friend and she loves him. The loving him part made a lot of people happy I think because a lot of them were speculating about that and wanting it to be true and stuff. Basically he checked whether she wanted to hurt the prince and stuff and she said she was just trying to help him and wasn’t trying to hurt him at all. He also asked who she thought was trying to hurt the prince, but she said she didn’t want to speculate. Then the guy concluded by basically insulting the queen’s diplomat except in a Sorikonian way by basically saying he would say stuff against him except he wouldn’t want to make him lose even more honor since he’d already lost so much by telling so many lies basically.
Then Thresa made the rulings, and she basically let all of them go but said she was still suspicious and stuff. Also Shanetill asked to get to see the prince again, and Thresa said that was okay. Then people got up to leave and stuff, but suddenly a piece of everyone’s body caught on fire which burned blue, and we heard some prophecy like thing. It went, “Trolls and giants perhaps, or maybe your own kin. Bones with a darker purpose still, or storms with the minds of men. You will have some choice in this, though less than you would like. If only to choose who not to cross and who to quickly strike.” Apparently that was the same words that people heard in the inn when an Ifrit appeared and did some stuff, but I wasn’t there. Then we got a vision I think, but I don’t remember much of it because I was tired and excited and stuff, but I was blind after. Also my arm where the fire was useless, and I had to get it healed. After that some people left, but I stuck around for a bit to talk to people. Suddenly some guy came running in and went to the Whiteforks people, and said he was a Gramion guard and that they had to leave. The Whiteforks people eventually agreed but didn’t want to go the way he wanted to go, but before they could leave the doors of the room were shut. Apparently something happened to the prince, and so the Whiteforks people were being locked in until further notice.

Chronicle for 6/7/2015 Eleanor "L" Cloudmane
I left the room because they were willing to let me out and because I didn’t think I could help much, since there was no fighty stuff really, so I went adventuring instead. The first mission was a mission that this one guy whose name I forget was sponsoring or something, and he wanted to go to check out this shrine up north. It was the same shrine where I fought a couple of mummies last time and got cursed with not being able to fly or use acrobatics, but that’s okay cause I went to the beacon of dragonfire and it made the curses go away, though I had to actually die for that. But I guess it’s still worth being able to have those skills back. Anyhow, we found some interesting things in the shrine, and I guess we didn’t really check all of it out, so he wanted to go explore it more.
We set out to go toward the place, but first we had to fight through a bunch of Dagdeoth cause they’re attacking and stuff so we run into them a lot. After we fought them and beat them, we kept going, and ended up running into these people pulling a cart with something in it covered with a cloak. I thought they were selling cloaks at first cause we were going north where it’s cold so people need cloaks, but when we got closer we saw that actually it was a person in the cart just hidden by a cloak. The people said that the person was their friend who wasn’t feeling well, and I thought it was kinda suspicious but our peacekeeper said that they were telling the truth, so I just went with it. Also I kinda thought it might be the prince who something had happened to the night before, but he didn’t look like the guy and I thought that would be really weird so I kinda let go of the idea. The people also said they were going to a shrine of Morodin nearby and asked if we wanted to come because adventurers could be helpful, and the guy leading our party said yes so we ended up going with them.
We got to the shrine eventually, and a couple of us went in to help the guy while the rest stayed outside to guard the cart. Inside, we fought through a bunch of kobolds, then we got to a room with a bunch of different doors with different symbols on them. I think one was a shield, one was an anvil, and one was a hammer. We were trying to get to the shrine of Morodin, and some guy knew which one was a actual symbol of him (though I can’t remember) so we went through that door. We found this puzzly thing in there that we started working on, but it needed a lot of mana to work so I went outside to get some of the others to help. But when I got outside, they were gone, so I went back in and told the others that. Then I left to try and find everyone else, cause I thought they might be in trouble or something.
I followed the tracks of the cart, and I started to hear the party, but I still couldn’t see them. I shouted for them and stuff and I heard them reply from pretty close, and then I felt something on my hand. Apparently Evamin the rune weaver had made them invisible, so I had to have runes on me to be able to see them. They told me that Evamin had actually identified the guy in the cart and that it was actually the prince guy, so they had decided to take him back to town to try and fix him cause they thought the people who had the cart initially were trying to hurt him. I decided to help them get back to town, and we traveled that way for a while making sure to keep the prince healed and stuff, but eventually we ran into a Dagdeoth division. They still couldn’t see us cause of the runes, but it was dangerous anyhow, so I took the prince and carried him back to town flying, trying to keep him from getting bumped around.
When we got to town we decided to go to Abil, since he had helped at the trial the night before and stuff and we figured he could maybe help. But even once we got him to kinda pay attention, he didn’t really seem to know exactly how to help. Also the prince was getting worse, so we were kinda panicking and trying to figure out how to heal him. I got some ritualy stuff so we could try and help him that way, and I also ran and got a couple of other party members in town who I figured might help. Eventually we also realized that the guy who had gotten a wish from an Efreet still had the wish, so I ran and got him too. We spent a while trying to word the wish right, and I even got Madwing to try and help us find a way to say it good, and eventually we just settled for saying it straightforward and telling the Efreet it was really cool and nice and giving it an item for helping us. Also we sacrificed a bunch of items on the anvil of Abil ‘s shop, which seemed to make it into a shrine or something I think. Then we summoned the Efreet and wished for it to negate the effects of the morganti on the prince, which didn’t do anything really obvious. But the guy that we went into the shrine with came into the shop shortly, and then he did some stuff and things which I probably shouldn’t talk about because of reasons, and then the prince was better. I think actually the official story is the Abil healed the prince, which isn’t really exactly what happened but I dunno how much I should say about what really happened, both cause I’m not supposed to say how that stuff works and because people might not like me contradicting the official version. But anyhow, the prince is better now.
I think after that most of the day was fighting Dagdeoth stuff. We did one battle where some guy had drakes help us out, and that was super useful. After that we also fought the cave troll army, and we actually defeated it and stuff, which was nice. Also there mighta been some other stuff, but I don’t think any of it was as noteworthy as the prince thing so most of it I don’t really remember exactly.

Daine Cloudmane
It’s been a fair busy few months, but I figure what with people always wantin to know what went on in such and such a place at such and such a time, it’s a good idea to just write it down an let them read it for themselves. I know I’ve surely found myself wishin there was more records of times and places now long gone. Now, I don’t know how much I can remember, or how accurate I can be, so please don’t nobody be expectin a perfect and highly detailed account of events, but I do promise to try my best. So here goes.
I suppose I'll start with introductions and all. I'll get to writin about the actual adventurin at some point, but I figure it's sensible to just introduce myself and all first. I originally came down to Spireguard to join the party of adventurers. Adventurin seems to run in the family for me, as near about every generation of my family’s had at least one adventurer in it. My ma, my ma’s ma, my ma’s ma’s ma, and so on for a long way back’s been some kinda adventurer. I grew up hearin tales of my ancestors adventures and the tales they’d heard, from all over the continent. We’re centaurs after all, we don’t tend to stay in the same place for too long. My ma and her ma both lived near Axiems, in a keep in that forest that seems to be set on takin over as much ground as it can. I was born near there, and lived there for a bit when I was real young. On top of that, I grew up as part of the Dungeoneer’s guild. My ma’d helped found it back in her adventuring days, so I got to be a member of it as well. Now, one oughta think that’d be enough excitement for just about anyone growin up, but evidently not for me. I stayed with the Dungeoneers for a while, sure enough, but eventually wandered off to have somethin of an explorative phase. Durin all that, I found the foresters, or rather they found me. I’d always had somethin of a soft spot for animals and nature, one of the few traits I share with my ma, and I decided becomin a protector of the wilds sounded fair lovely to me. So I got trained, got the gem in my forehead to mark me as one of them, and headed off into the world once more. It was round about that time that I heard of the party of adventurers forming down in Spireguard, and that bein near plenty of wilderness, and me having adventuring in my blood, I decided to head down and join them.

Nyx Chronicle for 3/5/17
So I feel a bit obligated to chronicle my last adventuring session since it was just after that that magic dropped to OP 1. Yknow, for posterity or whatever. A lot of mysteries would probably be a whole lot more easy to resolve if people actually kept decent records. But I'm as guilty of being too lazy to properly record findings as everyone else, so who’m I to talk? Whatever, I'm actually recording stuff this time, so better than nothing.
Let's see. I think the first thing people went out for was some jaunt into the wildwood, but I missed that so who knows. All sorts of amazing world altering mystery solving things mighta happened during that adventure and will now lie forever forgotten because I was to lazy to get my butt out of bed that morning. But I guess that's just too bad. So anyhow, the first actual mission I went on was some thing where people had been reporting a “creepy feeling” along the road, so of course we went over because hey, that's just the sort of thing adventurers like looking into. So we went and poked at it, and basically it was a whole dang area that basically sent everyone inside to the ethereal plane if they walked in too far, and apparently pinged in the ethereal when people did wander in. Then of course we gotta figure it out what on earth this thing even is, so we go ahead and do a couple oracles. We then interpret the symbolism mumbo jumbo that that gave us (some nonsense about animals caught in grass and stuff tugging on a web and whatever) and determine its some kinda trap, so obviously we decide it'd be a great idea to do a ritual in there. I mean, we're adventures. Doing the dumb stuff most people are smart enough to avoid is kinda our job. So anyways, we do the ritual in the middle of a trap, and then hey whaddya know it's a bunch of undead (skeletons and vampires I think, and then a demon with morganti a bit later) here to kill us. Who woulda guessed? We fight, we lose, I run away with some others (hey, running and living to tell the tale is way better than staying and getting captured. Besides, I'm an elf, so I matter more than you or something because Elves at some point collectively decided that's the case) and we get back to town and tell the tale. So that's that, for now.
Next up, pretty sure it was the ogre dungeon. Some people went, they stabbed some stuff, they came back. Fun times were had. Then, I believe it was poking at the creepy ethereal trap Part 2, in which demons were slain and everything was better again. Also I think I heard something about a ritual the vamps were gonna do that involved words above OP8 (which is what magic was at that day). Then I think people poked the ogre dungeon some more, and disenchanted (and maybe exorcised) some of the magic eating torches? So that's fun. Also at some point I think people went to the forest to stop poachers, but I don't think anything terribly exciting happened there.
Finally, another interesting that I was actually there for. Basically some shrine to Vairë (elven God of history and stories basically) wanted runeweavers for a ritual, and dang if I don't just love getting to show off, so of course I went. Anywho, we did some nonsense with a lot of runes I probably should have recorded (and might remember at some point and actually record), in which we basically compromised trying to fix magic and asking the gods whether and how we should change things by doing a thing in which we offered the gods our agency/asked for their guidance. So uh, maybe a terrible idea, maybe not, we'll see. Definitely the most wonderfully stereotypically adventurer-y if you ask me though. So that ritual basically gave us this SUPER long vision and prophecy that we got only partly recorded but will probably get posted once we have more info. Also we got some fancy spell on us from the temple mages, so that too, but again I dunno the specific details. So sucks for you, posterity.
Welp, that's that, I hope you all appreciate me devoting my oh so important elven time to trying to make things that tad bit easier for historians to dig in the future. Ta for now then. Your local runeweaving edgy elf, Nyx.
