My grandest apologies to everyone I don't know how do this forum thing just yet but i shall work on it yes
Jerikhan Nonas, Firstmoon Dearest Sister, I have made it to Axiems! And I am safe, you and mother can rest easy now. I was fearful that the excitement of the journey here would fade once i reached town, but i was proven wrong. Reaching my destination has proven to not dull the thrill of it all in the slightest! I can't wait to learn more about this place, and meet all these new faces, my fellow adventurers, that I am staying with. (And thought camping was rather fun, I am glad to have a bed again.) I have also learned that snow is more heavy and wet than it would seem, and it tends to cling to your boots like mud and drag you down like an iron weight. So far, my only complaint about the stuff. (Although I may have fallen into deceivingly deep pockets of snow more times than I would like to admit. Once I got up as far as my neck, but not to worry, Ellion was kind enough to help me out. But not before I got to watch the largest deer I've ever seen pass by! Kagan says the massive creature is called a Moose, and that they are common here. He also says that I was most fortunate, as they can be more dangerous than bears. Next time I see one I will be sure to sketch a picture to send to you.) So far I have met only a few of the town's leaders during meetings with our party, but the situation seems clear, and the threat of Dagdeoth pressing. However I am not deterred in the slightest! I shall begin what I came here to do, and do what I can to help the people here. (And maybe send a few Dagdean rascals running back across the border, if all goes well.) The march north has left me eager for a bit of battle! Mysteries seem to abound here as well, first with this strange dark forest, among other things. Gah! I can't decide what to do first, too many things to choose from, and I can't sit still. This chill air leaves me feeling electrified! I love it. I hope all is well back home, that you are well, and that hopefully somebody is remembering to give Parson his apple, because you know he'll be cranky without one. (He bit a stable-hand the week before I left, cheeky old lug…) Love, luck, and best wishes, -Jerik

forgot to mention earlier, these are letters that were written and have not unti now been able to post, again with the much apologizing
Jerikhan Nonas, Secondmoon Dearest Sister, There was a most peculiar happening today. Many of us decided to saunter to the Protectorate, home of the wood elves. A festival was being held, though not the particularly rambunctious kind, twas a festival for the dead. From what I understood it was for all to attend, should they wish and not disrupt the ceremonies. To me a perfect opportunity to perhaps explore and get to know the people here, who live so seemingly tucked away. A lady named Ruby was kind enough to allow us in the wood, as well as take some extra supplies along the way and offer a friendly warning or two. She seemed very sad… From what I hear her family are missing? Or perhaps dead, I am not clear. But I wish we could help… Our journey through the wood was not without danger, but I would think it went well. We had a much harder time convincing a companion of ours, a terrifyingly large elven fellow, to not to attack the animals as we had been warned not to. (It all worked out in the end. For being rather straightforward brute, he's a talented archer. However I am glad I am behind his bow and not the other way around.) A peek of the elven home was a treat indeed! All of the homes where nestled in branches, with ropes between for walking on. Many suggested not to attempt to walk between them myself, though I wished to try badly… It looked like so much fun. Like I mentioned before, it was a somber festival indeed, but not without some lovely things. Many of the elves there (and a few of our own adventuring company as well) preformed songs and presented poems, all in honor of the dead, with a dome of spirits watching us. It gave me shivers. But the good kind. I met a new friend there as well, I believe he is called Durotan. He is an ork, a prisoner of the elves here, though why and the nature of his crime they would not say… He preformed a song as well, and I'd never thought I'd say this of orkish, but it was fantastic. Hearing it in song shed a new light on a language I once thought croaking and dull. After our performances strange things happened. Visions, sensations, all strange and exciting! Reaction or response from the spirits, or part of their mood or magic I'd suppose, I'm not one to say. But was all so interesting, I wonder what it all could mean? I preformed too, or, read something on the spot, for Ilar, of course. I wonder if he heard me..? Perhaps not, perhaps he's resting, which would be just as well, he did enjoy naps...
I wonder if the dead can miss the living, as much as the living miss them..?
After everyone else was finished, the last performance was done, an elf with a harp preformed a most magical tune. Many of the spirits followed after him when he was finished, and people too. I wonder what sort of person he was… But I never got to ask, for Kagan dragged me back to town… Hope all is well where you are, or that things are at least a little well, and not completely horrid. Love and best wishes, Jerik
