I thought that it might be a good idea to write this down as very soon i expect we will have no more records of what happened in the few days before what seems to be the beginning of the end. It all started in the morning when we were out fighting a group of elite giants that seemed to have both immunities and resistances to us but it was then when i was approached by a human named Catlyn who asked me to follow her into the Dark wilds to find a familiar to bond with. Of course me being a nature competent person I agreed to help her and a blackspire shaman with their work, so they polymorphed us into hawks and we spent almost the rest of the day getting far enough north so that we would be safe to enter the forest normally. I will not bore you with all of the rituals we did or the creatures we ran into but there was a point when I made a deal with a fox spirit that i now believe is haunting me. This happened when it was summoned and i was trying to make it more calm and friendly by channeling with my own spirit and lending it energy but i think i ended up making a pact like deal with it instead... this worries me. Anyway we spent most of the rest of the day getting home but when we got back we immediately set out under the orders of Yohan (gods rest his soul). By the time we got to the front lines it was dark but that didn't bother me as while a dark night can hold surprises I had a few tricks up my sleeve too, namely a couple of arcane arrows. Unfortunately for us, no matter how subtle the wizard a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp their style. Except in this case it wasn't a wizard it was the party and the knife was five drakes two of which were shadow drakes. That is about as far as i can remember before the red one burned me to ash along with a few of the other adventurers. I later heard that the mission was actually a success. That day was long enough and i had to rest despite having a war to fight.
The next day was undoubtedly the true beginning of the end but I am sure you will figure that out yourselves. The day started badly enough with the undead Sorceress of the Elder Goddess turning against us for what ever reason she had. Her name was Janet by the way for any of those who are curious. Me and a few others in the few moments between her turning on us and our allies fleeing decided to stand and fight her, which needless to say ended badly. She ended up killing all of us by staying etherial and killing us one by one via death ray, I believe that Gorash was the last to go... or i assume that much as i died before he did. Anyway not much else happened aside from a second attempt on Janet and the recovering of the Legendary sword Ebonafter. And of course the subsequent slaughter of two-thirds of the Nonas line and the disruption of all divines on the Illionass plateau which I am sure you have heard of yourself. Most worryingly several attempts were made on the Skull Demons prison, the reason i say so is if it got out of its prison it would destroy Randwin and the only reason it was contained in the first place was because Randwin existed so you can see why i worried. Now you can start to see the spiral of decay that was our fates. As we traveled to the beacon of dragonfire under Shebara (fucking) Nonas command we were distressed to learn that all divine interventions had simply ceased to function which had led to one of the guards loss of a son. We decided that if this phenomenon hurt us so much we might make sure as hell that Dagdeoth felt the backlash of our wrath and promptly marched straight at Dagdeoth. We headed to the Stronghold of Sleeping keep and cut through the swamps to get to it these swamps in particular had not been occupied by Dagdeoth for some unfathomable reason which was a clear path to them. It turned out that that unfathomable reason happened to be that there were a hundred or so haunts in a very high escalation phase. We managed to get away from most of them, we were close. So. God. Damn. Close. It was a fucking blue wraith and it got one of us before we could react and then something incredible happened, the baron stood out among the haunts and called out to them holding them to their oaths to his bloodline. The whole thing reminds me of a book I read once but that is unimportant. The haunts immediately swarmed around him and for a second i thought that they had just killed him but then they started to follow him around killing everything that they got near. At this point we realized what a powerful tool we had just received and marched on to the keep. As we started fighting the troops outside Lord Yohan took his group of haunts and started assaulting a different side as to keep us out of harms way but that was unavoidable as midway into the fight I felt the malevolent presence that only one thing makes. Morganti. Not sure of what was wielding it it stuck to the back and shot everything to death that was distinctly non friendly which lasted until Catlyn informed me what we were fighting was none other than a motherfucking were hydra. Yes you read that right a WERE HYDRA. We soon took it down with combined effort and relived it of its morganti. soon after that something unimaginable bad happened, The morganti shattered and in its wake was a pitch black wraith that emanated death eternal. We were lucky enough to kill it and cordon off the area where the filiment had manifested. The fight continued with morganti showing up and us dealing with it until we got news that Yohan had killed the leader of the keep. We rejoiced and Yohan pushed farther into Dagdeoth with his group of 15 or so blue wraiths and assorted haunts. We celebrated taking the keep almost all night until we got the news. Yohan was dead and was not coming back and worse Shebara had killed King Worshal morganti. And now we are here stuck is the keep we worked so hard to capture unable to leave.... well i hope this is not the last time i can write out the events of my odd and cursed life. -Erich

Silveel: Elven silver steel referred to as silveel is a metal(enchantment) of peculiar qualities. Silveel was first created in the state we know it as in the 3rd age. A group of adventurers went on a quest to find an item known as the “Silbany Blade”. This item was of an unknown origin and dealt deadly towards undead innately. It was gifted to the Nerigoth elves in an attempt to recreate its power. The blades known as the Nerigoth blades soon followed which dealt boosted vs undead. Later in the 3rd age, the sea elves of the west began producing items known as the Stardust rapiers which had abilities very similar to silveel. Silveel items: Neregoth blade Silveel (+1 dam (boosted) VS undead, Indestructible) Normally has two Additional abilities Neregoth Shield Silveel and indestructible! Spell turning Shield Tree form ball Mage lore, Mana Storing 2 Mage lore Ball Miraculous recovery other: 1 mana
Starfield Blade Silveel (+1 Vs undead (boosted), cannot be shattered Weapon master (broadsword): 1 mana
Stardust Rapier Blinding Strike UB Silveel? Indestructible User functions under water as on land Weapon mastery longsword (this item only) Continued in Index
What is known about silveel?: Silveel is known to be a magical combination of Silver and Steel and is sometimes still referred to as silver steel, but the name was eventually shortened to silveel. There are other components of silveel however. Some elven items seem to have strange qualities and it is thought that there is a “western particle” which is used in many of these items. This particle may be responsible for the effects of the item. This particle does not fit in with the standard particles and planes and thus may be extradimensional. Silveel seems to be a gradient of alloys as the base metal ore being used effects the item itself. Silveel proper (neregoth blades) have a base metal (Iron?) which is found and refined in roekron assumedly because of the Nergoth elves living on the continent. Stardust Rapiers on the other hand have an unrefined base metal that is not from roekron. This is assumed because the Sea elves are not from this continent. Starfield blades are a mix of the two with only semi refined ore. The creation of these items are unknown, but it is thought they may have been a predecessor to both of the other creations. After being forged and during the heat treating process the alloy becomes indestructible and gains its properties. Silveel is one of the few things that can damage certain creatures. The lupoguants are one such group, and only take silveel, but always capped at one damage. Along with the Lupoguants, the Chained salvation only took silveel. This may be due to the properties of the particles and the origins of the creatures.
Western Items: Items with a certain metal type and design are known as western items by many. These items are supposedly from the west and modeled after very old items. While their creation is a complete mystery, there is quite a bit to be learned from them Western Items: Shield of Dragonscales Mage lore with staff touch Indestructible (metal type) Avoid (passive) Absorb Magic (Magic that strikes it is dispelled at all levels!)
Sword of Dragonsong Magelore = Elder sorcery OP Indestructible (metal type) Weapon Mastery Elite (Broadswords) Elder sorcery delivery type: Blade
Sword of Dragonfear Magelore = players killed per day! Indestructible (metal type) Weapon Mastery Elite (longswords) Spell/Skill Stealer (UB strike)
Astamori? Resistant to shatter (metal type) Astamori damage
Blade of the Starguard Mithril blade(Resists shatter/destroy effects) Boosted vs Greater Undead If killed by mana drain, Auto-Rebirthed Boosted Strike: Pay 1 mana/1 Hp per use If bearer PD’s item disappears If welder is evil, burns them in 20 count
What is known about Western Items?: These weapons are made of mithril mixed with other stones/minerals that have been treated in the way that many other elven items are made. This process seems to be a variation on the creation process of silveel. In this creation process the base metal used has an effect on the outcome along with the particles used to acheve the silveel like effect. Severity of the process used on the stone/metal also has an effect, but the three most commonly known ones seem to store large amounts of mana. At one point in a fight with the Shadowbat a Sword of Dragonsong was used to cast a spell with the blade delivery into the Lupoguant. The blade shattered, but the Bat seemed to take some negative effect which supports the western particle theory. These items are exceptionally rare with only two sets of the swords being recorded having existed. One set was found in the Illionass dungeon known as the under roads. The other was found by a group of adventurers in an unknown locations Additionally are the astamori weapons. These weapons were made by high elven smiths directly before the Seers plague in the 6th age. These items are of unknown make, but their damage is not healable by magic and must heal slowly. These items are thought to contain a small amount of the western particle due to their strange nature.
Morganti Items: These items are feared wherever they are found. Damaging the very soul of those they harm, wounds from these items never heal if the target survives at all. These items were first encountered in the 2nd age when the mad smith Hragnor was subjected to the summoning of the Essen Raku and was later succeeded as a smith by Merigrad. Various factions have continued to make these items. Morganti Items: Old Morganti Merigrads Reaper Unpreventable attacks All spells cast through this item are unpreventable
Ebonafter Morganti Lightning? Morganti Aura? Active Spirit (Unknown)
Ravenwing Morganti to undead only Pathfinding Active spirit (Dark Angel)
Dark Skyfire Unforges upon dealing damage
New Morganti Chien Blade of Whispers Silent morganti Passively warded
Bone Swords Loud morganti (Fear field) Passively warding
Continued in Index
What is known about Morganti Items?: Morganti items functions by damaging what they hit in more than just the physical plane. Wounds made with these items are thought to damage every part of the soul, but in fact simply do damage to enough of a person to make a wound permanent to almost every form of healing. This does not necessitate damaging the entire soul (blueprint) itself, but could mean one, or many of the parts that make up the soul. Old morganti was forged by Hragnor, who made weapons until his eventual death, but before he died, he taught Merigrad the process. Merigrad then made many of the legendary items we know of in his forge. He was said to have been pursuing the “perfect” morganti, and it is unknown if he ever achieved it. This type of morganti seems to be a metal. New morganti is a process that originated with the WTO who began forging new morganti at an unknown point before their defeat in the 6th age. This morganti was mass produced and unlike old morganti, when unforged or shattered leaves a wraith, or a filament behind before becoming inert. The wraith has the same stats as a standard wraith, but its attacks are all morganti. When killed they become filaments. The filaments are one dimensional vertical lines in space that will morganti bisect anything that passes through them unless the item is silver, in which case it will “activate” into a wraith.
Mithril Items: Subtype: White Mithril
Mithril is an incredibly strong and light alloy that has been made by the dwarves for thousands of years. Items made of it are expensive and almost indestructible. Many items are made with mithril, each with their own take on crafting. Mithril Items: Chain of the predator Unbreachable
Garb of steel skin Unbreachable
Spireguard blades Resistant to shatter
Neregoth Armaments (armor) Unbreachable Resistant to AV0 Damage cap 1
Neregoth Armaments (Shield) Resistant to destroy effects
Helianose (White Mithril) Resistant to destroy effects/Indestructible
Isa Sienen (White Mithil) Resistant to AV0, resistant to destroy effects
Blade of the Starguard Resistant to shatter/destroy effects
Continued in index
What is known about Mithril Items?: Mithril is mined as a metallic ore, which is then smelted and mixed with other metals to form an extremely resilient alloy known as Mithril (capital M). The ore is a bright silver metal with a light blue luster often found with small crystal formations by way of swirls in the metal. When alloyed mithril retains the light blue tinge, but often loses the crystal formations. This metal can then be used for the intended purpose. The metal is incredibly hard to work as its melting point seems to be somewhere in the range of ~3,500 fahrenheit as opposed to the melting point of steel at ~2,500 fahrenheit. The metal cannot be cold worked, and has a very narrow range of forging temperatures. Because of this any Mithril must be worked a little at a time at optimum heat. Mithril items created though the forging process seems to all have similar properties. Armor made with Mithril resists AV0 attacks, and shatter effects. Weapons made with Mithril seem to also resist shatter effects, and two handed weapons do not seem to require two handed use due to their weight. Mithril ore seems to only exist in the northern mountain range which means that the dwarves have a monopoly on its mining. This has led to several conflicts, and the mines are often inhabited by slaves which is the cause of even more conflict. White Mithril: White Mithril is a form of mithril that seems to have been used in many of the early masterpieces of the Dwarves and Elves alike. This metal seems to have most of the traits of normal Mithril, but has some additional effects and may have an affinity for enchanting. It is possible that it is one of the metals that can be used for a potent silveel treatment, or that it imitates the abilities of certain types of silveel.
Dirty Dark Items: Subtype Dark silver
Dirty Dark is a mysterious and dangerous metallic material that originates somewhere in the east. This metal is notorious for slowly poisoning and killing those wounded with it by way of a disease known as “blackrot”. These weapons are feared due to the slow death they promise to victims and wilders alike. Dirty Dark items: Unknown
What is known about Dirty Dark?: Dirty dark is mined as an ore in the east and from there finds its way around markets. The material dirty dark seems to be difficult to target with magic. Dirty dark does not quite resist magic, but spells certainly do not work as well on it. Blackrot Blackrot is the product of dirty dark that has leached into the body. It is much like late stage heavy metal poisoning, but cannot be targeted with magic. In this sense it is not really a disease
Dark silver: Dark silver is a somewhat new discovery. Little to none is known about it and very little of it has ever been found if any at all. Dark Silver Items: Harkis Celebdur?
What is known about Dark Silver?: Not much is known about Dark Silver, but it seems to be related to Dirty dark in some way. No known sources of Dark Silver exist and it is unknown if any items exist that are made of the metal. Some refer to dirty dark as “darksteel” which suggests that it might be the dark version of steel whereas this is the dark version of silver….
Glimmerbright Items: Glimmer bright items are incredibly rare, but coveted for their incredible if mundane effects. This metal was used by the Wet Mountain Dwarves of the first age, but its mining and use has been lost to time. Only a few items exist that use this strange metal Glimmerbright Items: Glimmerbright Chain +2 Av when in an encounter with light
Continued in index
What is known about Glimmerbright?: Glimmerbright is a metal that was used by the Wet Mountain Dwarves in the first age. It is unknown how it is mined as no known deposits of it exist in roekron. The metal itself is much like aluminum, but is incredibly reflective and has photoluminescent qualities. When exposed to sunlight it will reflect the full amount of sunlight in all directions and even absorb and re-emit some of the light. When turned into items Glimmerbright will have the effect of additional Av in encounters with light sources. This is due to the extreme amount of light coming off of the item blinding opponents and hiding the real location of the wearer. This effect will stay active even after leaving direct light and the metal seems to absorb the light and remmit it slowly. Weapons and shields have not been made with this metal and thus there is no information on the effect of the metal in that regard. There is a downside to the reflective and photo luminescent effect. After extended use the wearer will eventually develop skin cancer known as "Whiterot" due to extreme sunlight exposure. This manifests as a vulnerability to disease. The skin cancer will cause unusual growths within the body and it is recommended that the wearer has ways to deal with this before using the item. The metal seems to be very similar to aluminum in terms of smithing and working. This metal is very hard to work unless treated with powdered heartstone in which case it will soften and gain considerable ductility.
