I got around to decoding these. For context for anyone who wasn't there, we were given them by Gildmar (or at least someone in a Gildmar war camp, not sure whether it was the king or not) after coming back from the center of the Wildlands with information about what we encountered there. These translations are, of course, incomplete.
Piece 1, upper right corner:
"...noon becomes the day
...st shadows comes
...astray
...all overcome
...e will fall
...ms:
...aple all
...spread wide
...e thunder sounds the call
...their kind's side"
Piece 2, lower left corner
"...le others follow still their...
his counselors prepare to...
their roots already de...
for they are only puppets
for apathy, for ignorance...
against this court of...
for arrogance, for greed...
if unopposed, will stifle...
for evil, it comes knocking,...
A few notes about the actual translation. Line 6 of the piece 1 ends with a colon. I assume that this is punctuation, since it matches no other symbol and other punctuation such as commas seem to be included in the text. However I do not know for sure. Line 3 of piece 2 actually reads "their roots alteady de...," but the symbols for 'r' and 't' are fairly similar. Also, line 8 of piece 2 has a similar issue, reading 'unouuosed' instead of 'unopposed.' Since unopposed makes a bit more since I am assuming that was the intent, but I could well be mistaken.
Also, Katia and/or Isaac: if one of you could post the pictures you took of the pieces that would be great. I can't get a good picture of them due to technological limitations.
