30th of 4th Moon-1st of 5th Moon Corremari area
I found it important to note my previous adventure for the benefit all alike in Falnorian.
We left after lunch for Norimor, having packed our essentials we boarded the ship I had funded for the party. I had collected 500 from a viking in Corremari, 150 from a basic magic item, and 1500 from my party and I capturing boats of pirates. Our corsair for the voyage would be Captain Scolier, who if you don't know is our Brendan's husband. With the assistance of Corremari's weather mage Tristiana, who I am apprentice to, we were able to travel quite safely being protected by the storm. I guess storm is an understatement, hurricane would describe the current weather situation on Corremari. 10 miles into our voyage we encountered some nasty pirates. We tried to fight them off, but no such luck. They captured the prince of Guildmar who we had on board. He is one of our party members, and he wanted to join our expedition. We tracked down the Pirates, fought them and lost again. This time they captured another party member and I, for they thought since I am a weather mage i was creating the protection against the storm surrounding our ship. For my other party member, they captured him because their thief spent all his mana on force reverting trees. Reluctantly the party pursued these scum. Third time was the charm, we captured their boat and towed, so when we would return we could arrest them. 20 miles off the coast of Corremari we encountered some slightly sentient weather, with my full weather gear I was standing on deck ignoring the storm. Yet at one point it began to mana drain when it realized it couldn't harm any of us. Then out of the blue (quite literally the blue, as in the ocean) a Nyad came and shewed the storm away with fey elder sorcery. The sentient weather seemed to take magic damage, and jump start heal for damage. When I attempted to sense weather on it I saw that it was definitely not any weather, it was most likely some dark magic of Stormhorn Shadow of the Humans. For future reference in this chronicle I will brief you on what I know about Stormhorn. To the best of my knowledge Stormhorn is a Lupogaunt that was last seen 40 years ago. He had been bound before, by Mud and Flames, sealed in a cage of runes. Yet he was let out,if by himself or someone else is unknown. He is a dark blue ram with moroganti horns, teeth, and claws. He only may be wounded through starmetal as a Ogre Shaman called it. Yet for him not return he must be bound through his opposite elements which are: Nature and Fire. He posses the powers of a diviner, weather mage, and necromancer. This is all the current information I can recall about him if you would like to assist my research of Stormhorn, please do so, for I will need all the help I can get. 30 mile into our journey we encountered horses with shark heads, hippocampi most likely. We wounded them and continued on. 40 miles away from Corremari lies Norimor. While docking we were annoyed by the plague of this land. Mud Crabs. Yet in this group of mud crabs two caught my eye. Their carapaces were much darker and thicker. After landing in the estuary we continued down the river. On our way there we encountered swimming horses (I was going to make a Seahorse pun but I refrained) I healing touch on of them who gave me a ride down the river. From there on we passes by some very toughly built rams. We wounded them and proceeded to set up camp. The rest of the afternoon was normal as ever besides a few sightings of the strange wildlife of Norimor. We were gathered up by our campfire when crow along. All was normal until this crow said "Food?" we were awfully shocked. I was about to give it some of my bread when it said "Blue Food" It took us a few seconds to realize that it was asking for the blue rose we had revived through solving a haunt on a ghost ship, by saying that the Blue Ram killed you. We were referring to Stormhorn. The haunt dissolved and dropped a piece of scripted paper and the blue rose. I will mention more about the scripted paper later in this story. The crow then started telling us a story. I will recap the story here: Long ago there Were four gods; The Lonely Goddess who loved to wander throughout alone, the Growing God who symbolized life and rejuvenation, the Cunning God who crafted and enchanted in the forges, the Dreamer Goddess who's mind was her canvass. They created the world, but they wanted someone to walk upon it. The Lonely Goddess made Elves to wander the land and enjoy every detail of it. The Growing God created Human who could toil the fields and grow on their own. The Cunning God created Dwarves who could work at the forges all day in the heat of the Mountains. Finally the Dreamer Goddess created Hobbits a small fair folk who's imagination and joy out sized them. All of these gods wanted their children to be as pure and possible. They tried to remove every bit of evil they could but failed. So they took the evil and made enemies out of it. The Lonely Goddess created the Hunter whom the Elves still rival to this day. For the Growing god he took all that was cold as death and made what I think is Stormhorn. The other two gods made Nightmares and those who lack strength in resourcefulness. We then tried to sacrifice to the Growing God and the Lonely Goddess yet all we felt was nothingness. Yet when we sacrificed to Stormhorn even with no shrine the mana went promptly. We then slept after this long day.
The next day we woke and continued on our expedition. It was misty and our vision was impaired but luckily there was some grayish type of bird that led us out and gave us another scripted paper. Here is the current translation of the parts of the paper I posses:
They wrought their ch(ildren?)...
and soought to make us...
the light the loved an(d?)...
like weeds torn up to sho(w?)
but darkness comes from cas...
and our shadows thus unbound cou(ld?)...
to bring their evil darkness...
and since that day ou(r?)...
from us the growing...
which ravage living e...
our bounty barren l...
a spring waylaid b...
with sharpened k(nives?)...
On our way further in to the island we saw more rams but this time they were attacking a wyvern. Being attacked would describe it better. We continued on to the cliff side we had to scale down. There mere some type of Skybeasts roosting on that cliff, they looked quite peculiar. At they bottom of the cliff we waded through a swamp of mud crabs. Then things went down hill, we were in the marshy area when we encountered Animals who were Necromancy elementals. I was killed along with most of the party, so from now on I did not witness what was happening and only found out through later reports. The remaining party decided to return to the ship and cut their losses. They walked by the wyvern again and killed it this time, thus becoming friends with the rams. Farther down the road they encountered more mud crabs which were dealt with. The last noteworthy encounter was with more elemental animals but there were diviners instead of Necromancers. And I would bet my bottom gold that Stormhorn created theses and there would also be weather mage elemental animals.
If you found anything interesting and would like me to elaborate on it please tell me. Any help will be accepted for further research.
