a message has been posted upon the inn and adventurers board
it reads
"The end is far from over For the trial now begins The doors will open wider As the lady steps on in He, the noble warrior And she the common waif Their love they held between them And the island they would save Seek the shrines once torn and broken For there answers you will find In the shrines of all your people And the prayers of all your kind. The shrines had once been seeded Though the plant was grasped and cut The roots have lain there waiting For their doors have not been shut. Now the island sinks in shadows Of a different sort of breed Than the storm upon your doorstep Or its disciples’ lust and greed... What lands hold the shadows That everyone should fear? What lands hold the fire That will bring you back to here? For you all will take the journey And you all will brave its taint But which of those among you Will arise its patron saint?"

Well. This sounds pleasant, doesn't it.
OK, so we know who Lady and Warrior are, and it sounds like we need to be closing those doors to the Shadowlands (like the one you guys found at Max's birthday), or things might get bad. So let's get to it.
Does anyone have any theories in relation to this? (Advice: If you don't, get some. If it sounds like a prophecy, we probably want theories.)

Could the "Shrines was broken and torn" be the ones that were infected by curves?

Attempted magical analysis of doom.
The end is far from over For the trial now begins Something's starting, who knows WHAT, but something. Besides that, not getting much from this couplet.
The doors will open wider As the lady steps on in Dude. Either I'm thinking of the wrong doors or I don't like the implications about what happened to the lady after the demons were beaten back.
He, the noble warrior And she the common waif Their love they held between them And the island they would save They did save the island the first time, or at least he did. I don't know if this implies a further plan or if it's trying to draw our eyes back to the history. This is where we're starting to wander into the land of confidential information. Apologies. It relates to last season's plot.
Seek the shrines once torn and broken For there answers you will find In the shrines of all your people And the prayers of all your kind. Fairly straightforward. Go to the shrines, there will be further evidence there.
The shrines had once been seeded Though the plant was grasped and cut The roots have lain there waiting For their doors have not been shut. This is a very clear thing. "You have not disconnected yourself from the Shadowlands, as evidenced by the entrance in the tunnels. Go close the doors, damnit."
Now the island sinks in shadows Of a different sort of breed Than the storm upon your doorstep Or its disciples’ lust and greed... The Dark City isn't our main problem. OK, that's kind of scary if it's true.
What lands hold the shadows That everyone should fear? Shadowlands, wooooooo
What lands hold the fire That will bring you back to here? Don't have the answer to this one. Don't even understand the question really.
For you all will take the journey And you all will brave its taint But which of those among you Will arise its patron saint? "Have fun with the coming storm, suckers." But nicer. And with a "you can do this" added in.

The end is far from over - No duh. For the trial now begins - Okay The doors will open wider - ? As the lady steps on in - He, the noble warrior - He is the Sword And she the common waif - And she is the flower Their love they held between them And the island they would save - So two lovers are going to save Sorikonia. Seek the shrines once torn and broken - Go back into the shrines For there answers you will find - Good. But do we pray or do we search. In the shrines of all your people - And the prayers of all your kind. The shrines had once been seeded - Whispers infected them Though the plant was grasped and cut - We temporarily fixed it. The roots have lain there waiting For their doors have not been shut. Now the island sinks in shadows Of a different sort of breed Than the storm upon your doorstep - Something worse than the dark city. $*%#@ Or its disciples’ lust and greed... What lands hold the shadows - The Shadowlands. That everyone should fear? What lands hold the fire - Which will protect. Allison, Kim, Quinn. Is this not enough reason to start now? That will bring you back to here? - Maybe we have to go into the shadowlands and exit through some fire. For you all will take the journey And you all will brave its taint But which of those among you Will arise its patron saint?
This one is tougher. I will continually revise this as things occur to me.

So, this is just what it sounded like to me, but the "What land holds the fire/That will bring you back to here?" Reminds me of the idea of the "fire" of life, so it sounds like some land that can bring people back from the dead, or back from a different place. It could, of course also be literal, and mean something about a fire that will guide us back from the journey referred to in the "For you all will take the Journey line." Also, fire drives back shadows, because it makes light. Just some random thoughts of mine.

The end is far from over: I find the way this is phrased somewhat odd, as stating that “the game/story/other noun is far from over” if one was trying to say that something thought to be completed is in fact not would make much more sense than “the end is far from over”. Of course this may be me over-examining it, but hey, it never hurts to be to careful, right?
For the trial now begins: This one seems somewhat self explanatory, something big is beginning and we are stuck in the middle of it…
The doors will open wider: I suppose that door in this line seems much morel likely to refer to some form of metaphysical/magical door rather than a door in the more literal sense, though you never no, Chris could for once mean everything to be exactly what it sounds like. Just of the top of my head the first “doors” that come to mind would be the Shadowland gates that we though were closed until we encountered one this weekend, although on a much smaller scale.
As the lady steps on in: As Alison stated this does bring up some interesting ideas about the Lady, although lets not dwell on that for now (despite it being our job to do so), shall we?
He, the noble warrior: I hope that we have the right He that were thinking of, otherwise the rest of this is pretty much felonious crap…
And she the common waif: See above comment.
Their love they held between them: Again I may be reading to much into this but hat if love referred to something further than the emotion? We are (or at this point should be) well aware of the power that love has over people, and, by extension, the world those people interact with. What if love in this line referred to an object (like Joy and Bliss) or some form of spirit (aka the three sisters)?
And the island they would save: I don’t like this line. I’m going to assume that we are thinking of the right people and that the island is question is Sorikonia, however for some reason this seems incredibly out of place. My reasoning comes from the form of the rest of the poem, and what it sounds like if you replace the line with “Sorikonia”.
Seek the shrines once torn and broken: There are two translations for this line that I can think of just off the top of my head. The first is using the word “once” to mean “previously in such a state”, and that would seem to imply the shrines from last year with the chests and morganti wraiths and all that fun stuff. The second uses the word “once” to mean “was put into such a state” and would indicate shrines like the ones we found last weekend with the desecrated images and shrines and all that
For there answers you will find: Do I really have to explain this one? We go to the indicated location, poke around a bit while hoping we don’t create some horrible rift in the space/time continuum, and we get more prophetic stuff to sift through. Simple, right?
In the shrines of all your people: Well, the shrine we discovered last weekend (the one with all the severed bodies and funny skull warriors and stuff) was a shrine to all of Sorikonia (or so my magical theorist/historian levels tell me), so could this line refer to shrines like that one?
And the prayers of all your kind.: Perhaps we have to go to the proper shrines and perform some sort of mass prayer/ceremony? Of course that is a bit literal, we could also see it as the word prayers standing in for a word like hope, or if we want to make it even weirder perhaps prayer can mean ‘one who prays”. Priests maybe, although then again pretty much all of Sorikonia prays…
The shrines had once been seeded: Going back to last season yet again I belive this would be referring to the Shadowlands and the “seeds” left by the various gates we destroyed (see below).
Though the plant was grasped and cut: Again possibly referring to the massive bone gate that was destroyed last season, the “stem” of the problem so to speak. We got rid of the noticeable part but the roots still remain.
The roots have lain there waiting: The leftover taint from the presence of the gates seemed to have lingered and reformed, hence the use of a word like roots.
For their doors have not been shut.: Well Duh, the gates are still open and now we have to close em again.
Now the island sinks in shadows: The beginning of a dark age, the island referring to Sorikonia and the shadow referring to the somewhat obvious S***storm that’s about to happen (maybe mixed with a bit of fire and brimstone and all that crap)
Of a different sort of breed: Again, somewhat obvious. This threat is different than the one we faced before and re facing now.
Than the storm upon your doorstep: The Dark City. Nothing more needs to be said.
Or its disciples’ lust and greed...: Vampires possibly, the disciples’ are defiantly being referred to as plural so we know it’s not some sort of singular big evil nasty thing (instead it’s just a whole lot of littler evil nasty things)
What lands hold the shadows: My first guess would be The Shadowlands, although shadow could refer to several different things. For example it could stand for corruption, greed, hate, pain, sadness, etc. See two lines down for my analysis of the use of the word “land”.
That everyone should fear?: This adds some credence to the idea of the Shadowlands, however what is it that everyone fears? Pain? No, there are many who do not fear pain. Death? Possibly, although despite our concept of mortality this falls under the same category as pain. Fear? Possibly, although then the question turns into weather or not being afraid of fear is part of being courageous. The only thing I can think of that everyone fears would be the loss of someone close to them, be it a lover, a friend, or a family member. Being alone is one of the worst things one can experience (from a physiological perspective) and anyone who can form such bonds with other people will be afraid to lose them as well.
What lands hold the fire: Fire could refer to a variety of things, although just of the top of my head I would guess courage, life, love, loyalty, fear, or hate. The last two are due to the all consuming nature of flames and their capacity for destruction. I would also suppose that fire could be taken quite literally, for example some form of beacon or the flames in the Shadowlands. In addition land can be taken to either represent a metaphorical place (like the mind or spirit) or a actual location. My first guess would be Shadowlands due to its seemingly repetitive involvement with Sorikonia, but that's just a hunch (of course so is everything else, so yea).
That will bring you back to here?: Where is here? Could here refer to that exact location, the material plane in general, Sorikonia? Could it mean back as if we were running in a circle, moving ahead but never getting anywhere?
For you all will take the journey: I really have no clue about this one, everything I could say I have either already stated or is so open-ended so as to be completely and utterly useless. The only guess I have would be passing through one of the Shadowland Gates or a similar portal.
And you all will brave its taint: Possibly referring to the whole thing with Jeremy’s hand turning into a “shade” and attacking people?
But which of those among you Will arise its patron saint: I can really only make sense of this if I read them together, and as every one else seems to be overlooking this I’ll see how much crap I can throw at it. First off it strikes me that when you pair these two it implies that someone is going to wake up the taints/shadow/fire (referred to in previous lines) patron saint, possibly deity or creature of similar power? I’m inferring this from the context and the use of the word “its”, which both implies that it is saint of whatever “it” is (again, probably the taint from context) and that the “it” in question takes the form of a singular thing rather than an amassed force.
Anyways that’s pretty much all I can think of, I’ll add more later if more occurs or if we discover more information. Also it is important to remember that half of what I just said is absolute crap, I’m simply bouncing around various ideas and seeing if anything rings true. I mean in theory if you say enough things eventually something has to right, no?

My attempt at it -
A few things strike me as fairly obvious. Number one is the noble warrior/lady. For those who have not spent extensive time researching and historianing and poeting, this refers to Tui Ammoni and the woman he loved. Tui Ammoni was a samurai in the 2nd Age who was known for fighting all three of the demons from last season at the same time, and winning. He was a noble, and unfortunately, fell in love with a peasant woman, which just kind of doomed their whole business to start with given Sorikonia's honor laws. Have a poem written by Tui Ammoni about his lady.
The Dark City part also seems pretty obvious, to the point where I don't feel the need to bother going over it.
"What lands hold the shadows..." - Shadowlands. It's got to be.
"What lands hold the fire..." - Probably has something to do with that "Fire and life protect" prophecy thing we got when we poked the ancestors. Should take a look at that again...
