So this is my first chronicle which was really fun. All I want to say is that some of the sentences are from Kim’s words as I wanted to put the information into this without it being misinterpreted or it being changed, as my character would have liked.
Nigyri Sengal First Moon, First Day, 100th Year, 3rd Age, 2nd Era
Well, settling in Oldmin was a new adventure in itself, but no one is interested in that now are they. I am here to tell people of what I have found out about the world from adventures and just reading through old history books. There is one goal I have set out to achieve but that is for a later paper. Recently I traveled Syenon to read up about history in their libraries and converse with others on these matters. Lately I have been sitting in the Library and going through books non stop reading up on things I take interest in, which is definitely everything.
Mostly I went to Syenon because I wanted to learn more about Alliana Woodsbourne. Though I could have figured stuff out from Oldmin, I felt the experience would be thrilling to visit the Bard School. Sadly her study was burned in 263.2.2 right as she vanished which is a real shame as I would have loved to see what was in there. It is theorized that she was either kidnapped or assassinated by the same person who assassinated Syenir just a few years earlier. Oh what a shame, but I guess information is a deadly thing to have too much of. But enough of her disappearance, Alliana Woodsbourne is a highly respected historian. (I said is not because she is alive but because she is still highly respected, at least by me.) I am not going to ramble on how I admire her work, so I will give you straight facts. Alliana Woodsbourne was a Illion high elf who accompanied Syenir Telímnass when he fled Illionor. Syenir betrayed Illionor by passing knowledge of Sorcery to Falnorian. Maybe that is why they were assassinated. Allaina Woodsbourne established the first Bard School in Syenon and was in her middle age and “died” somewhere in her 600’s. In my opinion I think Alliana Woodsbourne is not dead and has just went into hiding. Though I would first like to learn more about her “death”. My opinion might just be ignorance and just my hope to meet her one day. She would be in her late 800’s if she is alive so there is still a chance I guess.
While I was reading one of Alliana Woodsbourne’s papers, The General History of Falnorian, I got interested in the creation myths of the races and how they would connect so I looked up some of them. There were four gods and goddesses that were mentioned as the creation gods of the races. Two have been acknowledged as Yondalla, and Varda. Yondalla is the goddess of Protection, Fertility, the Halfling Race, Children, Security, Leadership, Diplomacy, Wisdom, the Cycle of Life, Creation, Family and Familial Love, Tradition, Community, Harmony, and Prosperity. She is a lawful good goddess and is seen as a strong female halfling with red-golden hair, who looks determined and proud. She wears dresses in yellow, green, and brown while also carrying a shield. I am sure that is why her symbol is a shield with a cornucopia motif. Her followers, which are mostly hobbits, like to talk about Yondalla in two aspects, the Provider, and the Protector. As the Provider, she is the goddess of fertility, growing things, birth, and youth. Hobbits have worshipped her through the ages and still do now. I have found out that there are shrines to her in Beltolir, a city mostly populated with Hobbits, which is south of Oldmin. In the Creation Myth Yondalla was wandering in her secret places (probably through the woods as she tripped over a patch of thorn bushes) and daydreaming when, as she was not watching where she was going, she tripped over a patch of thorn bushes. As she tripped she ripped her skirt, and when she crawled out her dress was in tatters. She sewed it up with the pieces she could but there were still pieces left over. Yondalla thought the pieces were still beautiful so she made a patchwork out of them, and from the patchwork she made the first hobbits. A beautiful myth really, and I would say much more. But I do not feel it is my right to state my opinion especially against other peoples beliefs, and that I am a Hobbit so it is against the belief of my people as well.
The second goddess that was distinguished is called Varda. Varda is the goddess of the elves. She is known as the Queen of the Stars, and the Wife of Manwë. She is widely worshipped by the Illion elves, though there is still shrines of her in Falnorian. Mostly they are is Syenon but there are in other places too. The creation myth for the elves starts out when Varda was walking alone in the woods under the stars, as she so often did, and was very lonely. So she started to sing, weaving magic into her song. As the dawn broke the first elves sprang out to life out of the first light to touch the deities hands. I find these two myths show the culture of the two races. The hobbits are not scared of showing there god making mistakes or doing human things. This is shown in the myth when she trips and tatters her skirt. Also Yondalla makes the hobbits out of her own possessions, and makes them because she see’s them as being beautiful. As the elves go the goddess makes other things into elves. She bends something that doesn’t belong to her to create others. She also does it because she feels that she is lonely, and creates “friends” more then getting their trust and asking them if they wanted to be. I feel that using something or someone that doesn’t belong to her has been passed down into the elves line of work, though I should end my discussion there.
The other two gods are male, but still have not been identified. The god of humans is depicted as a youngish human male in his late 20’s or early 30. He is usually dressed in greens and yellow, with an assortment of colorful flowers in a flower crown. Flowers and plants grow wherever he walks. He is frequently seen engaged in field or sitting upon a throne in extensive hanging gardens. Lastly I have found that his favored weapon seemed to have been the longsword. In the creation myth the human deity worked hard every day to ten the fields, making them rich a fertile. Though he had no one to share his harvest with, so when spring came, he shaped seeds out of clay and planted them into the earth. At morning’s break the plants soaked up the sunlight and the first humans grew and became what they are now.
The second male god is the god of dwarves. He is depicted as a youngish dwarven male, dressed in dark reds and oranges when there is color involved. Frequently he has glittering red eyes. Depictions of him are often studded with gems, and made with very intricate abstract, interwoven patterning. Usually he is at the forge or in the belly of the mountain. His favored weapon seems to have been the battle hammer. The dwarven deity was carving out of his mountain halls when he cleaves a wall wrong and caused a landslide. At first, he cursed the mistake, but then realized that is he had not been building alone, he might have stopped the mistake. So he took the pebbles from the landslide and drawing the hot blood of the earth up to the surface he shaped stones until they were in the forms of people. This was how the dwarves were created. I find it funny how the creation stories fit the cultures. Hobbits were created because the goddess thought they were beautiful. Elves were created because the goddess was lonely. Humans were created because the god wanted to share his harvest and his successes. And lastly dwarves were created because the god wanted help and to prevent mistakes. I also saw that the hobbit’s goddess and the dwarves god shown mistakes in their myths, while the others didn’t. But that is all I am going to say as I might upset some.

Paper that is hanging up in the Mandel Inn.
27th Day, 9th Moon, 122th Year, 3rd Age, 2nd Era
Greeting party members, I ran into a mage when I was coming back from adventuring and she started spouting what I would suspect to be oracles. I would much appreciate it if you looked into them, if you have time of course. If you have any notes please send them to me and I will debrief all of our thoughts on these, the next time all of the adventurers meet up together.
The first story I heard began with someone climbing up the plateau, the mage said it was themselves so I guess that was how she saw into this oracle. Once they got up to the top of the plateau, they saw a cave. It was dark and murky and they went into it. Once they had gone inside, it felt as if the cave shut on them, like a mouth. Then they felt a light/heat coming out of the cave. And that was the end of the oracle.
The second story I found was that the mage embodied an ant. This ant was climbing into an anthill. The anthill had one entrance at the top, but then a bunch in the middle like tunnels weaving around each other. There were many other ants around, including worker ants and some solider ones. The soldier ones looked scary and really intimidating. There were many ants passing by. But when an intruder came in they would all swarm them, even if it was another ant. The ant kept climbing down the anthill and got to where the queen was. They saw that there were ants carrying other things to her. What they saw specifically was a butterfly. It was carried down to the queen and then the queen ant started making circles around the butterfly. After that she bit it and drained everything out of the butterfly. But it felt as if it was draining the soul and not something material. Then the butterfly became a moth and fluttered away. Afterwards the mage felt as if the ran into a wall. The oracle was still going, but they couldn’t go anywhere, or do anything.

I'm gonna start posting these. These are not common knowledge and are not accessible.
10th Moon, 1st Day Dear Mother, I started adventuring. You always told me to leave this city so I guess I am doing so? Slightly. I’m sorry for not fulfilling your wishes. But, this is my city. They raised me and I must repay it. I know you would disagree but I’ve left the city to explore the plateau sometimes. I hope you're happy with me. I’m keeping up the family. We have food and drink and shelter. Olivia and Mendes are doing well too. They are going to school and have gotten interest in books. I see you in them. Hopefully they will go out and see the world, but for now they are safe. I have changed the house a bit since you were gone. I turned part of the the living room into a shop, but it’s for the better. We have enough money to support ourselves and live comfortably. Isn’t that nice? Hopefully you are doing well, I miss you. -Karis

10th Moon, 4th Day Dear Mother, I fear that death will be a common thing for me. I have started adventuring and died twice in the same day… It was a nerving experience. By body aches and I remember my death clearly. It’s horrid. But i’m protecting the city Ma, and i’m helping. But this is something I need to write just in case I actually pass on, hopefully it does not come soon.
For my will, I would like to have all of my belongings sold and all of my income to go to my father, Corren Apenton. The house as well as the shop and furniture will go to him as well. Also he would become the legal guardian of Olivia Mae Apenton and Mendes May Apenton. As a note for me, I wish that my body burned and not buried. That is all.
I shall finalize that with someone who is better at this than I am, but that is how I see it. How does it look? I miss you. -Karis

10th Moon, 9th Day Dear Mother, I’m sorry I have been only writing on sad topics lately. I do not want to burden you with my problems. You should be happy now, away from troubles. So I shall write to you about our family. We are doing well. Father is working, and has been taking care of himself. He have been able to cure his sickness and now he cares for his well being much more than he used to. Olivia and Mendes are doing well too. They are using different names though. They have shortened it to Liv and End, they say it’s easier and they like it more so I do not argue. As long as they are happy I am content as well. They have also been doing well in school though I worry for they do not have any friends, well, I guess they just take after me. But I don’t think that is a good thing in such an aspect. But they have each other and are always so excitable that I feel they are well. On another note, both are very interested in reading. I might have to start getting new books for them for they are so interested in stories and history. I am happy they have a passion such as yours. But yes, all is well. We are fed and are living a good life, I just wish it was with you. I miss you. -Karis

Karis Apenton, 122.3.2, Falnin, Mandel. Adventuring Report: 9th moon. Missions Done: Escort prisoners to Mandel - Completed Investigate creature on top on plateau -Incompleted Protect caravans from bandits -Completed Investigate missing corpses -Completed Patrol borders -Completed
Mission still on the board: Spiders eating goats, deal with them.
Adventuring Report: 10th moon. Missions Done: Protect the barricade x3 Spiders eating goats. -Completed Getting magic items, treasure. -Completed. Missing Child. -Completed Guard the prisons -Completed
Mission still on the board: Haunted house starting in Mandel Gildmar wants to get people to explore the wildlands Investigate the creature on top of the plateau.
Progress Report on Protecting the Barricade:
We were called out as a mandatory mission to protect the city as it was All Hallow’s Eve, and the undead where stronger. We protected it in two groups, both completed the task. We encountered a wave of zombies at first, easy as they are, when it’s a swarm of them it is much harder to take down. Though, it seemed they were stronger. If I counted right it looks like they remade themselves once more than they usually do. After it was a wave of gravediggers, reinforced zombies, and ghouls. Our group had less people but we pulled through and got it done. And lastly there were spirits. As a conclusion, protecting the wall was a success the first time. Afterwards we went to protect the goats from the spiders as that was not done last time. We need our food source to be secured before the winter so this was a necessary measure. We faced some imps as it was All Hallows Eve. I heard one of our party members got candy from that. Hopefully it wasn’t cursed. Then, if I recall correctly we ran into trolls and ogres and finally got to the spiders. A group went to look for a missing child and were successful. Don’t know much that happened there but there isn’t much of a threat, and it wasn’t really a kidnapping how everyone thought? We went to guard the prisons. We didn’t talk to the prisoners as we were supposed to and the patrols were good. Having people with spirit guide and scouting kept everything under control. Then another party went to get magic items from the fey? I am not sure, but they returned with glowing magic items. With all this happening a wild demon with morganti came to attack the city. We disarmed the morganti from it, and dealt with it’s mission but that was all we could do. Again as it was All Hallows Eve there was way more undead so we helped out protecting the city, first being annihilated by ghouls. But, we went back out to help with zombies and other things while people who could easily deal with them did that.
I would suggest to do any new missions regarding crops and supplies in the 11nth moon as winter is coming very soon and we need to stock up on those things. I would say it is not really a good idea to go help with Gildmar as we have enough problems on our own here. If the haunted house continues, which I think it should be fine after All Hallows Eve, we should deal with it as it is inside the city. The creature should be something we investigate if we go up to the plateau for a different reason.

Somewhere in the third age, second era, hundredth year, and who really gives a shit?
Up in the mountains, there are many secrets Hidden in the cracks of stone, like mice cowering from the greedy Eyes of the cat. Threats in forbidden temples, glowing in ominous blue light or a grinning child who climbs the rocks, calling them home. And at the Pinnacle of the imposing mountains there are legends told of the hidden city, the "place of meeting with the stars." Now, if you know how to think and know where to look those thoughts of the first age can become clear, not that they Matter. The seasons are changing; the wheel has turned and as the spring grows to summer, the summer fades to the fall.
From, Your pen pal through the End of the world.

Third age, second era, hundredth year.
Now, now, let me ponder As I walk here and wander Through the mountains that cover the sun.
Filled with monstrous beasts That see you as feasts And some that hunt just for fun.
Some say witches live here The beasts cower with fear For they kill you before you can plea.
So if you come here to look (Don't, read a book) Cause you won't come for your tea.
From, Your pen pal through the end of the world.

Karis Apenton, 122.3.2, Mandel. I have not been doing my customary reports as usual. I apologize for that. Missed report on 11th moon and 2nd moon.
12th Moon: Went up to Seynon - Helped out there.
Completed - 1) Gave offerings to the fae. 2) Cleared out tunnels for a passage to Mandel. (We did more, though my memory is failing me.)
1)It seems to be that I addressed myself correctly to the fae as I had an encounter with a nymph. It seems as the balance between the summer court and winter court in unbalanced, and something threw it off that way. It said that the seasons are changing, and to be careful. Do what you will with that information.
1st Moon: Back in Mandel - Missions: 1) Haunted House - Incomplete 2) Clear out tunnels (Complete) or talk to explorers lantern. (Incomplete) 3) Village reports new tunnel opening in plateau. -Complete 4) Cookware reports running amok - spell fumble? -Incomplete 5) Odd beasts sighted by hunters, ranger. -Completed 6) Unusual patrols at Eldspell/Gildmar border. -Completed 7) Demon/outsider in the orphanages. - Completed 8) Guard duty. -Completed
7) We discovered that an outsider has come into the town and disguised itself as a child in our orphanages. Now this outsider was not taking any normal, silver, or magic damage. No skills or abilities, or any spells. I ran out of the orphanage and out of the city and into Gildmar. We had to stop and get out papers through, but this thing waited for us. Lead us into the desert and in the middle stood a crumbled city. As we went in, it seems we have met the black court.
Note: If anyone has notes on what happened in the 2nd moon, I would like to see them. Especially with the cookware.
3rd Moon: Mandel- Missions: 1) Clear out tunnels or talk to explorers lantern. 2) Manhunt ongoing in nearby village. (Incomplete) 3) Fey very active in area purpose unknown. (Complete) 4) Devouring Death build shrine on razed town. (Complete.) 5) Escort High security prisoners from Falnin. (Complete.) 6) Offer still stands from Gildmar to Mandel adventurers. (Incomplete.) 7) Clear out Cunning Flame tunnels. (Complete?)

Written on the 23rd of Tenth Moon, 138.3.2 Hutmoor, Gildmar Sent on the 27th of the Eleventh Moon, 138.3.2 Gildmar, Gildamar
Letter sent from Gildmar to Eldspell (Letter is not a chronicle.) Killian,
It’s been weird. Gildmar is very…. Gildmarish. I guess, Hutmoor is not that bad. I mean they are loud, and very… obnoxious? The historians aren't that bad here through, nor the miners. Their skill, from what I have seen is very advanced. It’s actually really cool to see how they analyze objects, even though it’s pretty hard to follow. Here the lodgings are conjoined, both men and women sleep in the same room… that was a bit surprising. It lead to an interesting experience… I think you understand what happened. Maybe it wouldn’t have been a surprise or happened if I didn’t zone out when they were telling me this, but It wasn’t my fault I sleep through the day and go out at night. Ok, don’t take that the wong way, I wan’t going to whorehouses or anything. I was looking at stars. No, I did not get hurt. And I swear, if you come over here just because of this I will knock your head off.
I’ve met some new people. Some are nice, others I think are crazy or assholes. Not like passive aggressive assholes, but like straight up in your face assholes. Like you. Well lets see, there is a blind man, Wren, he’s an asshole. I don’t even want to start on him. It’s ridiculous and he’s a bit annoying… maybe that comes with him being yonger than me but at thins point I don’t care to get into it.. Ok, the next person is Sahra, they’re a native. I thought they were cool at first, they’re dedication and connection to her culture is super cool. But not the part where they recites old omens or whatnot and thinks you’re stupid for not agreeing with them. It’s… frustrating. On that note there is Kelley. Old man, doctor, thinks practical medicine is better than a healer or bard. Hah! GIldmarian people, I swear. He treats me as a kid as well. Let’s see… More people. Ah! There is Yes Man. He’s a hilarious wreck, but one of the nicest people there. I mean… he’s not really a person, but more like a defective golem. He has to take every order given to him. You can see how that gets hard when your enemy figures this out as well. Anyways, new person. Basher. I find him funny. He’s actually really nice as well as a super competent fighter. Arrogant in a way, but it’s not bad. He won’t put others in danger, and that's something I respect, I don’t think I could ever achieve that. Now there are the other three, I really like them, Danay, Vesper, and Delilah. They’re really kind, or actually. They are normal. Normal respectable people. We can start with Danay, full name Danay Vassano, she’s an elf. I believe a little bit older than me and an avid historian. Very skilled at that as well, smart too, and kind. Don’t worry, i’m not gonna fall in love with her, even though she is soooo much better than you. There is actually another historian in the group, Bran. He’s cool I guess, I just haven’t talked to him enough to really get to know him well. Actually, I don’t really know any of them that well. Ok, Vesper. Vesper is a show, literally. They’re like a street performer, hilarious, tall, and pretty hot. They’re like the comedic relief of the group, like the one that you read about in books. But they’re really caring, and has helped me already. About… About a haunt. Don’t freak out, it’s not bad. It’s a good haunt. She like wants to protect me or whatnot and i’ve already made a defense against my, condition. So don’t worry. Lastly there’s Delilah. She’s really pretty, and wears nice long skirts and carries a parasol. A very stylish personnel… I mean, but so is Vesper. I actually don’t know much about her, she has a tattoo of some sort on her forehead. It looks cool. I’ve never really asked what it was about. I don’t really think I will.
It’s still hard for me to focus, you know, how I couldn’t do that in the university, it’s the same thing here. But kinda worse. No one really knows that i’m like this, so they think i'm rude or something. I keep spacing out during important speeches or discussions. I forget some of the things that happened during the day. I should try the herbs again. Those helped a bit, but here… The spices are rare and cost a lot. I’m scared i’m going to run out. But i’m ok for now, I guess it would be another incentive to visit.
I’m not going to lie, it’s been rough settling in. Gildmar is really different from Eldspell but I guess I needed to expect that. I just didn’t think i’d be working with jerks. It’s kinda sad. But i’m getting through it, once I finish this project i’ll go straight back home. I’ll get into school and it’ll be great.
So, how are you doing? How are classes? How’s the gang? Is Professor Smiglan as determined to fail you as ever? Tell me what is happening. I miss you.
Love, Asterion

Asterion Olarin Elentirmo Written on the 11th moon, 27th day, and 138.3.2 Hutmoor, Gildmar Recounting the experiences in the 9th moon, 138.3.2
I arrived to Hutmoor during the beginning of the eight moon. Not only was the trip here long and tiring, but I believe it took more than 2 moons. I lost track of time halfway through and as I was traveling the existence of roads disappeared in the first week or so, and then I believe transcended into another plane. As in, one era they existed… and now have mysteriously disappeared. I hint at their existence as the common traveling folk of Gildmar are somehow aware were to step without a guided line or trail. Now I might be exaggerating a bit, or it could be my nearsightedness but trekking over such terrain was a struggle to say the least.
Now, once arriving at Hutmoor I would have believed that the village would be completely comprised out of huts as the name states. But to my surprise, or not, all the buildings weren’t huts and I thanked the Angels for that. It was what I would call a large town or a small city, if that pleases the people living here. Nothing impressive, but at least not to desolate. Though I should take that statement back, they do have an impressive wall. I believe it is comprised of contraptions and defense mechanisms that do most of the fighting and work for the guard that should be guarding the city. I believe I recall that Oldmin has one as well, and in that case I think it shows what creatures lie behind such massive structures; terrifying ones. From what I have heard at the time, these creatures are comprised of deformed rabid animals and Wildland itself. From what I have heard, I would never plan to enter it.
The city itself is pretty rough, as is the inn. I certainly was not used to shared rooms, especially ones that are not segregated by gender. But I guess I was able to settle pretty quickly and get adjusted to such living arrangements, but I will never feel comfortable in them. The rugged and worn down exterior as well as the sands and blazing sun aren’t really what I go out of the way to find in a living space. At least we, as in the adventurers, have lodging and food here, and that is a blessing enough I suppose. Though with such an exchange of different favors and materials it is hard to be sure if the exchange itself is hardly fair.
I believe one of the most surprising things about this place are the actual adventurers. I do not think i’ve ever seen so many elves in Gildmar! -Nor would I think they were anywhere close to an adventuring type. But races aside, I believe our group is capable. I wouldn’t state they are the nicest bunch (though some are) but are capable nonetheless. On our first day we met with the innkeeper of the city, Lord Everett Haven. Not only did he voice his opinions on multiple things, but introduced the missions for us. He is an old fellow, and falls asleep as much as I get distracted… I would add a spotty memory on the list of traits he has as well. But he is an archaeologist, I believe, and is good at his job even in his old age. He was the one who introduced the basics of the culture of this city. And to sum it up it was something like; the residents of Hutmoor don't like the newcomers, there are tensions, you win arguments the louder your shout, you know, the Gildmarian ways. He also restated that a lot of new archaeologists and miners have come to this city as new mines and new ruins are being found every month. And of course with these ruins come haunts.
Everett Haven explained the missions for us and we came to a consensus to head out to the graveyards to calm the spirits. We first saw snakes slithering in the grass… in a group… aggressively. We beat them up. It felt… triumphant? I think beating something up for once and not running the heck away was definitely a new experience. But then, of course, there had to be more snakes, which were accompanied by things that I believe were wolf wears. We kicked their butts, but not in the literal sense as I don’t know if snakes even have butts. (I have confirmed that snakes do not have butts.) This was not far off to the graveyard… if you could even call it such. It was about 3 to 5 graves, haphazardly placed and scattered. No wonder the haunts were wandering and angry. Our own resident haunt seemed to be able to solve them. We call her Silver, as she adorns a silver mask, but her true name is unknown. The haunts seemed to have died pretty recently, one was eaten or poisoned by ants, and another set on fire. There were three all in total. Lets just say that their deaths weren’t very pleasant. After some time we were able to determine that they were buried incorrectly and laid them to rest. I payed my respects, and we moved on after the haunts seemed to be solved. I believe others went on a different mission but I do not recall it.
We congregated back at the inn and picked to go clear out the mine. It seemed that a mine got infested with creatures and the miners couldn’t go their jobs. Again, we encountered snakes. At this point they are everywhere and I am started to have a serious grudge against them. We didn’t beat them up this time we kind of just… walked around them and by that we sprinted. Looking back at it now I think we should have cleared them out… As that was… our job, but oh well! That was about 2 moons ago or so. We got to some hobgoblins, and fought them. I guess these fights kind of became a routine after doing a few. Looking back at it, it’s very weird that fighting these creatures has become so routine that you don’t even think about it when you need to do it. It seems kind of monstrous is a way, that your outlook could change so drastically so quickly. After fighting the hobgoblins and some time in travel we came across some scouts that were coming from the Wildlands. I can’t believe people would actually go down there, even for money. They reported that there were insects, Wildland insects that were swarming there. That must look so disgusting, and by the haunt that I saw in the graveyard…. It’s not a very pleasant death. Finally we reached the mine, entering it there were too passages which we chose to continue straight down. We encountered some dwarf sized, scaly lizard gremlin things? I don’t remember the encounter clearly but I think we beat them up. Then there was another split in the mine and we went left… Bad decision… We had to sprint out of there as there were many, many battle bones. I believe this is when Bran, an archeologist in our party smelled gas and told us to run. Now as I said that we had our own resident haunt in the party, we also have a resident ghost in the party! So we gave him a torch and sent him into the gas to blow up the battle bones. Sadly he misheard our instructions and ran straight into the gas… Not throwing the torch at it… Another sad thing was that, that fire actually hurt him… I’m sorry ghost dude. At that point we came in to fight the undead and got… majorly destroyed. That was the first time I died… It was unpleasant, but that doesn’t sum it up. Having an undead suck the life out of you, even when unconscious is a feeling that I still have stuck in my gut. At this point, I think I realized how scary adventuring is… and how scary life mages are. This might seem surprising but being able to bring someone back to life in a ridiculous amount of power. I see how healers are so underestimated now. This concluded our adventurers in that mine as those bone warriors wrecked us, hard.
Now I believe I said that the mine really did completely destroy us… well as smart as we are we went back. Though we did not dare enter the bone warrior room. We continued down the other path. I did not cover this in the last paragraph but we discovered that the mines had minerals in them. They were blue and crystal like. Pretty clear, but not completely translucent. Later we brought little shards to be analyzed by Haven and got a consensus that they were sapphire chunks. These mines are very rich with materials, that's for sure. We set down the separate path and saw some sleeping bats on the ceiling. Of course as they are bats, we thought they were no big deal, but no. There were so many of those little creatures that if you hit one it seemed like two more came after you. In total, we just ran as trying to kill those buggers hurt us more than it hurt them… I can’t believe we were beaten by bats… Anyways, after that commotion we got to a barred up passageway, which we of course had to break down. I don’t exactly recall what we were thinking at that moment but, “adventure!” was definitely part of the thought process. We tore the boards down and slowly discovered grumbling noises on the other side. More gremlins, great. This resulted in a cumbersome wait as they kept attacking us when Bran tried to tear apart the wall. This resulted with Vesper taking out their theatrical tricks when one of them threw their whole swrd through the hole that Bran had carved out. Of course as Vesper is a performer he acted as if it hurt him, very badly. The whole thing was quite a show and soon made many other weapons follow the sword as if the room was going to be flooded with metal and sticks. At that point the gremlins seemed to have dispose of all of their weapons and we could tear down the wall with ease and severely incapacitate the gremlins. After this we set down the path and of course heard more grumbly noises. I was thinking this was gonna be easy until one impaled me. Angels, it hurt. It was soon discovered that they were in classes; however they got such training is completely unknown to me. This resulted in us getting severely beaten up… by gremlins. I don’t remember much of what happened afterwards but it came down to Danay and Silver bargaining for them to resurrect and heal people and promising them that we will leave them alone.
The first day was quite unique for me, but it seems that I can withstand this environment for a bit longer. Bringing some excitement into my life can be a good thing.

Notes only accessible to party.
Notes taken by Cress written by Serena. 16.7.169.3.2 First Night: Mission: Moving from Southern tip of Nari to Neveth - to new safehouse. Met guard from Neveth. He was patrolling. Was nice, gave directions. Named John Bandits - assholes. Not willing to do anything in front of guard. Ancients follower - looking for “Kai” place of neutrality -> the twilight court. Party convinced this follower that the Ancients are the dark council. (Was a worshipper of Zirali.) - Said that fae in this area turn into animals - be kind kt the animals. Haunt of the royal guard of Syenon. Died fighting. Non descript man making bird calls. -> Thinking back, the party seemed to be able to recall him. Woman went to the fae to get medicine for her sick child, in exchange they made her barren. Husband abusive and would get made at her. Party let the Guard from Neveth get her home and then to safety. Bard named Bach. Said that, “are you interested in birds?” “The Nightingales up in the trees are hatching” Earth elemental walking around (about size 5) -> was neutral to friendly Two resistance members Falnin patrols - strict about the curfew. Human wild mage. Survival expert out in the woods.
17.7.169.3.2 Morning Notes: Iliana: Avory Falin is controlling East Syenon, he is having the hard time controlling the West. Gangs are fighting each other for territory in Syenon. There are lots of troops through Silsendel Lots of resistance in this area even though they keep it on the down low There were several hundred prisoners being brought to the Mandel Prisons. Mandel holds only several hundred in low security and about 40-60 in high security prisons. Bringing too many prisoners to even fit in prisons. Many prisoners were lost in Falnin tunnels.
Stories from Maerda: Truth is malleable here: use the well. Missions: Falnin caravans are going missing -> weshoule look after them Work for Maerda Larch - will give good rep for our party - could eat information. “Stuff” is coming out of the woods. - Trolls, elemental, fae, wargs, spiders. - we need to clear them out. The Nari woods are strange -> you should familiarize yourself with the woods There are tree that reach out and grab you, and demons. Things walking in the shadows and following you Mythical birds in the woods Enchanted groves with riches People disappearing (Green) Food shipments that have gone bad -> brining faerie fever (It makes people put themselves into dangerous situations) The Tree of Life followers are gone
Morning Missions: Go help Maera with work: Clear out grape fields Deliver and sell weapons in Neveth Bring food to the temple at Briggid -> Get fae out of the lumber yard Talk to Ancient followers to convince them they follow Dark Council Fallout: Met with grape farmers: “There is a strange meadowlark in the woods.” “The swallows have been hunted.” They were spreading anti Avory pro heir -> information battles. In Town: - Falnin are being assholes Curfew is strict Maerda Nighttime Missons: Hunt in the Nari Forest Glowing things on the edge of the Nari forest ✔️ Fighting going on past Nari -> Might have morganti - Is a battle between Resistance and Falnin - The heir is involved ✔️
2) Elementals at the edge of nari Forest. Caravan confused at what happened with the fight with the heir. Trolls hunting at night There were five of the main types of elementals on the outskirts. Flame, Sky, Shadow, Earth, and Lifeshadow. They were on the edge of the Nari forest. They weren’t letting good things through into the Nari Forest. The life/necro elemental was letting not good go through while repelling good. In the Nari the Hunt has commenced. It was the hunt for Purity, Hope, and Resilience. “I could go on but I think you get the point.” - Shadow demon 2k18. There was a number of things in the Nari forest: A human that hated Falnin immensely A person who was taken by arrogance like the hunters taken by greed A wraith or two A shadow demon - Shadows clutching to them. They had morganti. Seemed to be the most powerful. There were people in the forest that they were hunting and killing and throwing out to lure good people into the forest to hunt. They were hunting everything good and slaughtering it.
18.7.169.3.2 Morning Notes: Morning missions: Going to Silsendel - doing “work” for Maerda and gathering info Going to the outside of the Nari Forest - protecting villages and spreading pro-heir propoganda Going into the Nari forest 1) Gangs: blades and goldilocks are vs. Avory Street Eyes are with Avory Ears and boots are against each other and ears are taking the heirs side while boots are taking Avory’s. Other gangs are on the fence and just trying to survive Falnin guards are overworked Prisoners (about 20%) were sent back to Syenon because they couldn’t go get to Mandel.
2) Going to the outside of the Nari Forest Stopped by the Ancient Shrine on the way out: They talked to them and the Ancients weren’t really buying it. Part of the party put their hand on the shrine and said hi to the Dark Council. Donkor: His Divine connection twayned and felt like it could have dropped Serena: “Hi Nyiss” - Felt surprise, like he was a little startled, like someone started a convo supposed to be about one thing and then actually talked about something else. Reach through, try to twist bindings - there are a ton of bindings on him, from him, from others. His entail some anchoring him, but he’s also at the center of a massive web of bindings stretching out all directions. Lilia: “Fuck you, Krenezag” - Hear Nylea say “hello Krenezag.” See four people silently watching herself. Couldn’t tell who they were. Nylea: 3 mana “Hello Krenezag” - Heard some mumbling - felt a bunch of different figures were there. Heard one hush that others, another one laughing. Felt like you were being watched. Tried to name the presence watching as Kelana, but got nothing. Ancient priests went Berserk. Killed/wounded most of the party. Some got out. Some who were not killed were put on top of the altar. Our rangers were able to kill them froma long distance.
3) In Nari Forest: People stabbed multiple times with morganti People looting bodies White horse, pure white with its head cut off. Elemental (Earth) killed morganti Golden stag with size 6 morganti bite marks -> From The Hunter (harbingers) Black slimes -> decomposing things around it Size six morganti claw marks on some things Void in shape of a person -> they laughs and were responsive, waved back. (A nothing child?)
Night: Maerda’s comment: Gods are a connection, they always stay with you.
At dusk everyone felt heaviness -> like gaining a death, it felt plummeting. Everyone freaked Missions: Investigate weird feeling Mobilization of shrines -> large outsider presence. Elementals on the outside of the Nari Forest
Talking after the panic of the night: Dark council is trying to take power from the tree of life (lifeblood) People are the lifeblood of the tree Feelings from Tree of Life Followers: Sacrificing the Tree of Life - pulling connections and twisting them. (Serena should have notes)
Getting to Neveth to the Syringe District: Spirit reaper, specter, skydemon with moranti (varied undead, skeleton to full) High fae: Man with glowing jewelry. A lot of curses A coyote Dark Council undead -> cancel divine Farmer Followers + Worshippers of various religions Giant Tree things, one was glowing and casting (Sorcery of necro+nature -> did not take spells). Hand hundreds of branches that look like arms -> could tear people apart. (Glowy one had its branches turn to bones) Yes Man made an agreement to the fae Slimes and elementals (Serena should have notes about the rest)
