(Letter from Trollden to Fal AL party in Hutmoor)
As I'm sure you've all heard, Stormhorn has been freed. The three other shadows attacked together and helped him escape. As we have already returned the starmetal, the only remaining thing we can arm you with is information. Here is everything I can recall about them and their abilities.
All of them take only starmetal, and only as one damage at a time. Slay is taken as one and presumably the same is true for Impale and Hack. They most likely all have Effects and Missile Resistance. It is unknown whether they are actually Immune to Effects and Missile Magic, as Warded non-damaging skills and spells could work on them. We also have tested no Sorcery on it, due to the low level of our party. They all innately deal Morgonti damage through their Martial Arts and, in some cases, teeth or horns. It is also presumed that they all have Impenetrability, but I only know for sure that the Hobbit's Shadow and the Hunter both have it. I know that Warded AV0 works on Stormhorn, but I don't know if non-Warded AV0 would, but I doubt it. They all continually regenerate, and presumably have 30 or so hits, and certainly no less then 20. I will list them in order of how much we know.
The Hunter:
Size 7-8? 3 AV, Passively Warded Martial Arts, Monstrous Strength, Bite AV0, Battle Roar, Duel, Silence Duel, Bow Out, Silence Aura(Presumably one mana, only used it 1-2 times), Silence Tag(Touch? Unknown if UB), some form of True Invisibility(It only rarely used it, maybe costs mana?), Avoid. Leaves no tracks.
The Mountain:
Size 10, 4 AV, Immune to AV0 in armored areas OR Dragon Scales(one or the other, unknown), Passive 10 UB Martial arts, Monstrous Strength, Earthquake (Knockback 10 from a point of it's choice), Mud Breath (Slow?), Wind Breath (Knockback into the next encounter). It nearly always has animated boulders around it. Do not let initial slow movement fool you, it can cover ground as fast as you or I, if it so wishes. That lesson was inches away from being fatal for me, and indeed was for a friend of mine.
The Nightmare:
Size 7: 2 AV, Warded Sticky Charm(Range of Voice, lasts until you are killed, Remove Charm has no effect, doesn't end at end of encounter), has long Morgonti claws, Weapons Mastery(Claws)?, various forms of Mind Control(Presumed), Can kill people in Oracles? You might know more, but the Charm is significant. Also many Fated Death cultists are following them, Berseked and Charmed, maybe Sticky Charmed, so treat all Fated Death as enemies.
Stormhorn:
Size 8? 4 AV, Trample: UB Morgonti Deadly, 2-5 Death Rays, literally ALL the Lightning Rays, Ice Ball, Terror Ball, 5 UB Morgonti Martial Arts Passively? Convoke? Windcall(Forms Storm elementals), Control Weather, May be a Weather Mage/Necromancer?
I hope that this information will helped you. If we had known this much from the start, we wouldn't have made as many mistakes as we did.
Good hunting!
Nix.
