Hello everyone,
This thread is being created for the purpose of asking Falnorian specific rules and gameplay questions. The rules system does not necessarily develop along with the FanWar system (i.e. Falnorian undead still have respawns, etc.), and so there are disparities between the two worlds in some cases (though certainly not all). Please ask any questions you have to either clarify how something works in the world or to learn more about a certain mechanic.

Also, please go ahead and ask questions about things that aren't rules - e.g., history, political situation, how different things are perceived in the context of the world, etc. 'Though rules are important too - there are indeed a lot of things that work very differently from how they do in FanWar.

Here is an updated Falnorian map, with some of the smaller cities and with the main roads added on.

That reminds me. How does the trade work? What cities are major imports/exports of what goods?

Overall, Falnorian's primary trade is magic (magic items, magical services, research, etc). The Illionor elves are actually much better at it, but they're also much more secretive about it, and thus when there is a magical service required Falnorian will likely be the one exporting it. The primary places of this magical crafting is Eldspel - which has always been primarily a crafting school - and Falnin, which is the capital city and also has a good mage school.
In terms of international trade, most of it goes either through caravans or ships. Syenon trades with Illionor (via caravans); Ardel trades with both Dennond and Illionor (via ships); and Dennond trades with Gildmar via caravan. Imports from Dennond are mostly salt, metal, and weaponry; exports are foodstuffs, magical items, and precious metals and gemstones. Illionor imports are mostly lumber and medicinal herbs; exports are large-field crops (wheat, corn, cotton, rice, the like). Those are the two with the strongest trading going on. The only other is with Pengongolin, from which is mostly imported crafts and services (tradecrafts) and to which is exported magic and precious metals. There is little to no official trade with any other countries.
Internal trade - the whole of the Oldmin province is sort of Falnorian's "bread basket". It's where the majority of food is grown, and thus is one of its major exports. The other is exports from Minton Town, which mostly consist of mining-type stuff - stone, metals, gems, etc. Eldspel is known primarily for magic and for nonmagical crafts (amulets, basketweaving, clothing-making, you name it). Ardel is known for pottery, various other claywork, and fish/sea fares. Syenon is more about the arts of various kinds due to the presence of a bard school in it; Gildmar is known for exporting services in the form of warriors and men at arms; and Falnin is where you go for a mishmash of everything just because they're the central city and where a lot of internation and national stuff flows due to it being the capital.
Some places have official trade agreements with various protocol attached (see: anything with Illionor); some things are done primarily with private merchants and parties operating independently of official agreements, who are just making connections with other businessfolk (see: most Pengongolin stuff). Falnorian will vary all over the spectrum in that regard, depending on what part of the country you're in.

What is the hierarchy of power? Is there a high kink/queen/emperor? Independent rulers?

Huh. Then how does the actual shipping industry play out?Who gets the money there? The money made in the shipping industry goes primarily to the merchants in charge of the shipping. Of course money goes to the people making the goods, and to the people operating the caravans/boats/etc, but the bulk of what is earned goes to the merchants running the business and making the deals themselves. What is the hierarchy of power? Is there a high kink/queen/emperor? Independent rulers? Historically, Falnorian has been a monarchy; however, in the Culling of the Throne (end of 1.2), that power structure was torn apart and replaced with a High Council. There are five seats on the council; each seat is in charge of a different matter. That would be Magic (currently Ardin Lenn), Military (Nelnor Farrow), International Affairs/Diplomacy (Pelori Elenmar), Social/Domestic Affairs (Evenfall Fen), and Trade/Resources Management (Ternis Wen-Dinnow). They are in charge of matters involving Falnorian as a whole, as well as matters of the individual provinces if requested or if there is deemed to be need. Furthermore, each area of Falnorian (province) is ruled by a secondary set of rulers. Zari Nelfass is an example of one of these secondary rulers. Sometimes they are referred to as "King" or "Queen" (and indeed they are descended from the old monarchy), but those titles are technically incorrect; "ruler" or "lord/lady/sir/etc" are the more correct ones. Beyond that, there are usually nobles in charge of individual cities, but the power breakdown doesn't go much further than that.
