I've been asked to post this on Max's behalf, so here it is.

Well, here we are. I must warn you before reading this that the writer of the this report and the protagonist, or perhaps antagonist as the annals of time may deem, is a betrayer, a backstabbing scoundrel, and must be viewed as such.
I am a child of the Dark Wilds, in this sense I have two mothers, the one that gave birth to me and the one that gave me life. Through a series of inquiries and a great amount of research and risk I came to know the truth of the Dagmenoth wood, which was that it was a haunt and not just any haunt but two haunts combined by force and fused by time (gives a whole new meaning to the phrase, “familiarity breeds contempt). Once I found out this I became determined to lay my mother to rest and to end her suffering. By a great amount of luck and preparation a small group of us were able to travel to the Dagmenoth grove to attempt to solve it. As we arrived I sang to my mother to try to communicate with her more primally, I am a rune singer, and when we arrived it seemed as though the tree itself was covered in this watery and dense aura, it’s worth mentioning that as we approached we felt that the aetherial and physical planes seemed to be pressing together, and once me and a few of my compatriots entered the space we were immediately drowned. Now I, and my friend Starlin, didn’t really mind as we didn’t need air to breath but my other friends did but it seemed that time slowed for a while and we were given a vision. The details of this are blurry but I do remember walking through a grove covered in snow and there was a pond covered in flower petals; after that the grove exploded with haunt energy much like the effect upon eines Mien in Einion. After that it felt like I was at the center of the great maelstrom of haunt energy and that time seemed to act oddly while in it. It felt like I could try to interact with the Dagmenoth and I tried by first singing elder sorcery at her, it read as:
“I summon the dark spirit here to divine it’s pain with it”
Then I had a vision, I was in a grove and felt that it was the Dagmenoth grove from First Age and the sun was setting and I was getting hungry, even though I had already eaten a lot that day. Then I looked for Them, the children/fae, and couldn’t find them, I looked everywhere and found blood, I began to panic but was able to calm myself down and continue searching for them; I finally looked in the place only I could go and found more blood and a broken wing and descended into panic, then the vision shifted and I saw the Dagmenoth Elder Ent above me protecting me from something and it reached a hand out to find me but it could not. After the vision ended three Ent haunts appeared and began attacking me, one an Iron Wood another a normal Ent and the third what appeared to be an Elder Ent, by sheer luck and some chronological shenanigans I was able to defeat both except the Elder Ent haunt and began to try to speak to it. I tried to tell her that here children were alive but frightened, that she frightened them, that the man with the black knife had taken them; at that point she attacked me again then disappeared. The next day I tried singing to her again, it read as:
“I conjure the spirit from this tree to commune with it about it’s pain”
Then the Dagmenoth Ent appeared to me again, I spoke with it and found that the man with the black knife had taken the Children and was using them to control her, I told her that I would take her burden, that the children would be let go if she passed and that I would make sure that the children were let go. This apparently solved her.
As the maelstrom evaporated I saw a great mana wave be released from where I was, the wave that devastated Roekron and many lands further, and I was also confronted with a Karen, a special type of undead created by Baron Von Schnitzel to hunt and kill undead, I was able to run from it for a while but it eventually dueled me in the ethereal plane. I couldn’t do anything to it but I was able to use some crafty elder sorcery to escape it and run. Afterwards I escaped the now Elder Ent-less wood and felt that it was untended.
