This is so great Dev! It is this kind of long but detailed chronicle that provides the history of our world to players over time. Year from now, players will look back at these chronicles and suddenly realize whats going on, the same way current players look back at chronicle from ten years ago and glimpse the connections. Thanks for all your hard work and attention to detail!

There will be no August Chronicle posted by me. Urun was not involved enough in what went on that day to warrant a chronicle. (To those of you that saw this and were expecting a new chronicle, apologies, won't happen for a while.)

Urun Vecfo September This chronicle is dedicated to Attano Amaryllis Tutor and Shailar Seraphim Another mission was sponsored, this time by Leila(na). She wanted to go out and see what was going on with the goblins getting mana-drained in the north. So, I woke up early, and I walked out to the fields with Virva, examining this legendary orb of Sorikonia on the way. She had brought it, obviously, to avoid getting mana drained by whatever was killing the goblins.
After a bit of walking, we arrived in a meadow, and there were a few goblins and things, surprisingly alive. We talked to them for a bit, and they seemed to be afraid of something in the trees, they led us over to the trees, and pointed down into what I assumed to be some sort of goblin-hole. They seemed somewhat afraid, and then it became apparent why. Some sort of drakespawn spilled out of the holes, and I hurriedly retreated back to the main party. I was in desperate need of all the mana I could get.
After a short while, it became apparent that they were mostly harmless, and whatever was mana-draining the goblins was now gone. We headed back, and there was some conversing between Leila(na) and some Elder Goddess priestesses. I stayed well back, having no desire to know what they were saying. Leila(na) was presented with a shield, which I would have loved to have been able to enchant it, but it’s probably going to be done by the Elder Goddess people.
We returned to the inn, and were joined by a few more people. Then, at this point, it was elected that a group would go to a certain tomb, and try and deal with that awful skull. I having been previously incapacitated would be unable to go. As such, I stayed back and prepared an enchantment ritual. It was a ritual fitting my somewhat divine nature, and I needed some of the precious Jade supply. I then went looking for Aurora Nightsong, as she was one of the few who had unrestricted access to our Jade supply. She refused me, somewhat angrily. I may be the great tactician my uncle was, but I do know when a fight is untenable.
Kioriel and Virva had yet to use their jade, and were happy enough to donate it to our cause. I then went looking for a few people, predetermined to help with this process. Jana, (another high level priest), Lady Amara, Seneca(?), and the Temnorian prince. We then moved out to the plains, and several mastercrafted crowns were produced. We had found another high level mage to prepare a circle of protection around us, and we activated pacifism and began to enchant the crowns. Our efforts did not go without resistance, a large force had moved to take us out, and we were glad of the circle of protection around us. Unfortunately, our defending allies were all eliminated, and our ritual finished. The enemy had attempted to put a larger circle of protection around ours, and a force of Eon Ion troops, combined with Amir rangers, were able to break through. We made it out. These crowns were now effective shrines to their respective deities. Isis, Amaterasu, Quan-Yin, The sky god, and Okuninushi. All life gods, and we hoped that the power of their shrines would repel the greater Oni. Our happiness at the success of this ritual was short lived. Very few made it out of the tomb. Both Shailar and Attano were in coma’s, Merrin was permanently charmed, and many others were incapacitated. There was some hope that the same thing that happened to me would happen to them, and they would be effective the next day. This did not happen. We took a short break for a morbid luncheon.
Upon returning to the inn, it was decided that we would go to the festival of balance (something like that, related to the Equinox). I walked into town, and saw a few people performing various things. I attempted to invoke air clan to no avail. I watched a few more performances, and then moved to a small grove for the poetry contest. There were three categories, question, answer, and reflection. I do know how to write and read rather well, but I have never had the necessary skills for writing acceptable poetry.
Still, I do enjoy listening. There was some Dsenorian person, who was going to run the contest. It was clearly rigged so he would win, but I was there to see the competition, not the award ceremony.
Aurora was there, as was Mong, Amara, and Gideon. I will not transcribe the contest here, but it was quite well performed for the most part. However, it was an honorable battle, and apparently transported us to the shadowlands. I died there. I was wearing my crown. This crown had the flaw that if it’s wearer died, a shrine to Isis would be destroyed. I was unaware of this, and it was a horrible mistake.
I do not know which shrine was destroyed, but it is gone now. Many things were gained, and even more were lost, but we must eradicate this plague wrought upon us. We will succeed in this, and Sorikonia will be restored. -Urun Vecfo
