Hello. I am called Bug. I am a Phraint. I serve the elder goddess. Now you know about me.
I am writing about my time in Illionass because nobody else is, and because we are doing a lot of things. Now because I am old my ability to participate on missions is limited, but occasionally I will help the adventurers out where I can in their quest against Dagdeoth. Dagdeoth has been particularly aggressive in their attempts to take the city but have not been particularly successful. Now I am not the one writing this really as I am preoccupied with another task (more on that later), so I am having Eric write this for me.
We attended a meeting to determine who to accept as allies in this war. Amir, Einion, Desnor, Pinnacle, Stonehammer, Blackspire, and even Andionion sent troops to help us out. I am honored that they chose to help us. However we did and do not believe that that is enough to win this war, so we discussed who else we could bring in. Svodlun and Temnor were obviously rejected, and Sorekonia lacked the power to help us as well. Another suggested option which was accepted was bringing in elite forces from other nations, such as the Axiems assassins (though this was rejected on the pretense that we did not trust Axiems). While I do not remember all, we did accept help from Einion special forces, Pinnacle mages, and others that proved to be very helpful to our cause. Additionally, there was some debate over accepting the help of the gods, but more importantly which ones should be asked for help. The main debate was between Artoria and Sif. While they were being cryptic about their beliefs, (If I remember right) Sif believed that we should ask for help from the norse gods, and Artoria disagreed on the pretense that they had caused problems for us before. She believed that help should be obtained from the dragons, since there was a copper dragon nearby. In the end I believe we ended up getting help from the Norse gods, though to be honest I trust Artoria more because she's the one actually fighting the K'gals.
On the subject of K'gals, two of them were encountered today, both in the same battle. It was my first time encountering a K'gal as they hadn't showed up until that point. I borrowed two items that I and a few others had discovered over 60 years ago, heirlooms to the House of the Griffin, a sword named Helionose and armor named Isa Sienen. I had hoped that they might have some effect on the K'gals, but I didn't really get to find out. To be honest I was somewhat underwhelmed, as they merely walked and didn't use their immense power too much. After losing two battles before that, we were clearly outmatched and so Eric suggested that we retreat into Artoria's forces in order to allow her to combat the K'gals (as she is supposedly the one who can best do it). After a little while of chasing them, we managed to reach a safer location in which the inexplicable happened.
As I had both Helionose and Isa Sienen at the time, I decided that as I could not use both at the same time that I should give them to Artoria and see if she could make some use of it against the K'gals. Some of the Illionass Stone Griffins that had been helping us were present, and I decided that I would give the two items to them to take them to Artoria, however as they were about to leave I decided that I had better take them on foot instead. I put on Isa Sienen as best I could in order to carry it to Artoria, but as I wore the armor and carried the sword, and stood next to the griffin, something I never could have expected happened. I fainted briefly, and from what the others tell me I magically leaped onto the griffins back. Helionose turned into it's claws, and lengthened/sharpened them. Isa Sienen turned into this strange metallic body armor, and I was riding it. My mind feels enhanced, my strength seems greatened, and I feel as though I have the power of a silver golem, with a few abilities removed. I know my time in this form is limited, though I will do everything that I can in the time I have.
