The original situation was that a couple sea serpents had moved into the Sashi Eten harbor. They then proceeded to do sea-serpenty things and attack ships (I assume for territorial reasons), which causes problems for things like trade and travel and such. People went to deal with them and discovered that there were actually 40 sea serpents. Stuff was done and there are somewhere around 30 left. Which is still a lot.
What to do? Thoughts?

Oh look, reposts of cbox conversations. So that the same info doesn't have to be gone over again.
Scott: By the way, there is now a serious problem with sea serpents in Sashi Iten's harbor, like, 30 of them Kim: Were they full-grown, or little hatchlings? Also - what was the outcome of the Windrunner/Urukai situation? Scott: I believe that they were all full grown (judging by the full plate and boulders). And the Windrunners/Urukai have been defeated, though I don't know if someone has talked to them yet Kim: ...Wow. That's a lot of sea serpents. >.< Okay. Um. Maybe Helen's animal trainer/naturalist character can help out with that? Sea serpents and wyrms aren't *that* different... Also somebody should talk to them if they haven't yet, because that's more issues breeding if we don't. Scott: Actually Nick and I were considering getting together a small group of pacifist/other people they can't harm to use the cloak of Nirvana to talk to them AKP: Helen says that it's probably a mating area. So. I say that with those numbers, moving them is probably impossible, just make not and get people to dock elsewhere if possible. If you want to have people use the cloak, that's fine. We can do that. I just doubt you'll be able to reason with THAT many. Kim: I'm gonna make a thread for this, actually. One moment. Scott: K if worse comes to worse (which it probably will knowing the normal party) we can always take them out relatively easily. However this should be avoided if at all possible AKP: Yeah, don't attack them if it can be avoided. That would be bad.

So course of action is something like
1) Use a Cloak of Navanna to talk to them. (I agree that with that many, reasoning will be difficult. However - what kind of social situation do sea serpents form? Are there alpha males/females, or any other kind of hierarchy, or is it much more reptile-ish in that it's mostly every serpent for itself? Because if there is any kind of alpha serpent, reasoning with that one would be ideal.)
2) In the meantime, get ships to dock elsewhere. Is there a nearby dock that they can go to instead? And/or is there an inlet of some kind nearby where a temporary dock can be constructed?
3) If we really have to, go in and slaugther them all. Try to avoid this.
---
Ooo. If we could get somebody to study the sea serpent form, maybe they could polymorph into a sea serpent and try to lead the sea serpents to a new home? Also - if we're going to relocate them, we need someplace to relocate them *to*. Any ideas?

Note about the third option: Even if we need to engage them it would be best not to kill them. ideally they would be wounded/unconscious and then moved to separate location as far away from Sashi Iten as realistically possible. However it would be difficult to move 30 size 9 snakes any distance, let alone a long one

They are naturally aggressive, so it may be hard to talk to them.
