Year: 16,069, third moon, 13th day.
Place: The Grey Sea, not far from Mithil Grisodedin, on route to north point Grey isles from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. It was as I feared Pirate attack! I only take solace in the fact that these pirates were not well armed and seemed to be new to fighting on ships, we were able to beat them with only minor damage to the Amphora, the second sail was torn up bad but besides that no major damage, 12 crew members were injured but nothing major only Willson received any major damage in the form of a broken arm and leg. It has been slow going for the past few days with a south eastern wind. But I have a feeling that a change in the winds is coming and it should give us a nice boost.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 14th day.
Place: Mithil Grisodedin, on route to north point Grey Isles from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. Well a change in the wind sure did happen, late last night a storm blew in and we were not ready for it, the ship has taken a bit of a beating and we were forced to seek shelter in
Page 3
Mithil Grisodedin from the storm as well as to seek repairs for the damages, I am not please at all having to stay here the port fees seems to have recently been raised supposedly due to some new ship tax but I know it is due to the storm and this is the only major port around for miles it’s basically legalized piracy! This is going to cut into profits quite a bit.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 18th day.
Place: The Grey Sea, not far from Mithil Grisodedin, on route to north point Grey isles from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. The storm and kept in port for four long purse draining days, the only benefits is that the Amphore is in tip top shape and I was able to trade for 5 large jugs of Temnorian olives for 2 vegetables and 1 plum, and some coin. There has been some discontent on the crew about our next destanation some crew members threaten to jump ship but thease are hollow threats and we need the extra coin to make up for the loss in Mithil Grisodedin. We have a southern wind making progress, we should be at north point by this time tomorrow if we keep this speed.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 19th day.
Place: The Grey Sea, North Point Grey Isles.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. We sites the point and no sooner then we had sighted it, it was nearly upon us we barely escaped being run aground. Myself and 5 of my more experienced crew members went ashore leaving First Mate Gillian in charge aboard the Amphora. We found what seemed to be a wrecked camp relatively recent, a few bodies were found most seeming to have been mana drained to death. I presume them to be the shipwrecked people one with a morganti wound all dead. My crew wished to leave at that point, but I had found what looked to be an interesting fight, from what I could tell someone missing a foot and with a strange fighting style using
Page 4
their hand to stand on at points was fighting and I think defending the shipwrecked unfortunates, the strange thing is I found no or nearly no signs of the attacker my only guess is that it was something that was flying thus leaving no discernible marks on the ground, the last thing was I found where the strange fighter I assume to be the high ranking clan member where he fell to the ground but there was no body. We proceeded to procure some items left in the camp and take our boat back to the Amphora and leave before the land had another change to jump at us.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 22th day.
Place: Just north of the grey Cape, on route to Tradador from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. I found a number of Grey hairs that I do not think I had before and some of my crew members seem a bit more sluggish, I am think it is due to the extra strain of going around the Grey Cape, and after the scare in the Grey isles that will do it. The scare we had in the Grey Cape was what seemed to be a Geb vessel same close enough and seemed to check us out I was sure we were about to be raided but after a short while it just turned around, I was so relieved we had a small celebration that night even cracking open of the sake ceramics, we also ran into an elven ship standard stuff they were making sure we were not smuggling or anything. Westerly wind slow progress.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 24th day.
Place: North of Sea Watch, on route to Tradador from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. A very bad day indeed, sea serpent attack! The Amphora is still floating but sustained a fair amount of damage, we also lost 5 crewmen including First Mate Gillian whose bravery bought us enough time for a military patrol ship to reach us and help, he used himself as bait on the boat to draw the beast away, I am very
Page 5
proud to have such a man on bored my ship, while I on the other hand only managed to get locked in my own cabin when the ship was first struck by the beast and threw my desk against the door took me a few minutes to get through it and by then he was already on the boat. We have a gentle northerly wind with us.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 26th day.
Place: Tradador on rout to Gramion Hold from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. We made it to Tradador one last leg until we get to Gramion Hold, I have sold and traded the rice, olives and 1 sake, picking up a sack of hobbit smoke weed, as well as 5 large goat cheese rounds. The men are happy and relaxing while the ship is made sea worthy once more.
Year: 16,069, third moon, 30th day.
Place: The River Granion, on rout to Gramion Hold from Sashi Eten.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. We were attacked by a number of harpys, many were wounded and the sails were torn up a lot but lucky some river patrol boats moved in and were able to scare them off. Malian and Greg seem to be getting together better now with less fight and arguments over all I think they have both grown over this journey and will one day make fine seasoned crewmen, although I would never tell them that can’t have that going to their heads.
Year: 16,069, fourth moon, 1st day.
Place: Gramion Hold.
Name and event: Captain’s Log, Captain Jacques Suea of the Amphora. We have made it to Gramion Hold, I am now working on selling the good which should not be
Page 6
to hard in this market I should be able to get a good price, I have also decided to write a letter to the Twi Clan with what I have found as I will not be in those parts for some time with the trade how it is now, we ended up making a small profit from all of this it could have been a large one but with all of the damages and harbor fees it just things just did not go our way, the next job looks promising I hear there is some good money to be made up near Krodigros.
