Actually the vampires left the east gate, so we didn't deal with it.

Okay, so - missions that were on the board that were there last time, in a largely unchanged state: - Ogres eating citizens to the west, drive them off//...stealing livestock
- Members of the Maimed Cult killing heroes to the south
- Large creatures move onshore// Sea Giants
And missions that were there last time, that have developed since: East GateOriginally was hiring guards because they were short a few. Was attacked later that day by vampires and a mass of other undead. The attack wasn't very long and they dropped back, but the intent seemed not to be actual damage or breaking in but rather to sow seeds of distrust in Sorikonian citizens. The effect worked; there are now rioters, which were not dealt with last event. People's Militia of SorikoniaWere originally killing orks and urukai. We got involved and tried to persuade them otherwise, and ran into them several times that day. Sent them to the East Gate where there were vampires, and (I think?) had a run-in with them on the way to the mountain. Because of the East Gate incident, they have since accused us of conspiring against us and are requesting a trial against us. Nothing was done about the militia during the day, and no trial was had because one was not yet required. Fire Elemental BeastsOriginally were being summoned by Mountain and Fire Clan; we ran into them a couple times during the day. They are now guarding the walls of Sashi Eten because, since they are outsiders, they won't count as Sorikonians if they help. They have largely been left alone, as requested. Dark City StormLast time, a huge storm over the Dark City was causing atrocious weather and catastrophes over the north part of the island (as well as involving sired-by vampires into the mix). We went to help out some. The storm has since ceased, and repairs are being made. We did not assist in these repairs. Sea Serpent's BayLast time, activity was low and people were fishing; we did not help guard the gates. This time some attacks have been made and there were searches for survivors; we did not assist. Ancient Treasure and CursePreviously there was a dig site that was digging up old treasures and artifacts from the late 1st or early 2nd age. We went to investigate it, haunts appeared and massacred most people, and some treasure was removed. People involved in that counter were cursed; the curse had not (and has not) yet manifested.
Some brief thoughts, both about carried-over and new missions: 1) Were the Cult group (Zane, Ray, etc) also people who went to the haunt site? What about Zack? Could some of that weirdness with the chest be the curse manifesting? 2) The Elder Goddess lady (wasn't sure if she was a priestess or a warrior) who was looking for the gem - we should look into that. 3) We didn't return the artifacts to the site. We should do that. And maybe do some historianing and looking into the history of the site, and trying to figure out if other items of significance were removed and if maybe returning them would calm down the haunts. 4) Sea Giants - the issue with them is that they don't perceive land creatures are sentient. So maybe we should ask some sea creatures who *do* view us as sentient (merfolk, maybe?) to ambassador for us and convince the giants to leave well enough alone in exchange for other help that they need. 5) Guys, go check out the ancestor vision thread. It's on the Sorikonia board. We got a vision and a prophecy from the ancestors, and it's important. --- More later. I should probably update the ancestor vision thread first and leave room for discussion of smaller things before launching into bigger topics.

Actually I think that the curse has manifested. One of my items rusted over, and is now unusable. It was a ring of Spirit guide, which may or may not matter.

Oh! Right! ...Yeah, that sounds like curse manifesting. Well then. I guess it has.

So... What do we want our old characters to do next month? Obviously deal with the maimed, but is there anything else?

Well we need to follow up on our deal with the militia and commoners. Even though the Martial Masters agreed with Richard's request we personally should still do something.

I think that some people should investigate the archeological site. We all know that whatever lurks there will only become worse if ignored.

Karen is right, we haven't looked at it in two months and if I remember correctly some of the villagers who were there got mana drained and killed.

I vote the new gen deals with the archeology thing. Mainly I vote nobody who isn't already cursed deals with it. Because if the curse turns out to be horribly debilitating when it manifests, I don't want the entire party having it. That said: Yes. This needs doing.

Alright, I have a awesome (dumb) way to deal with the Maimed cult. Now I won't tell you what it is but Dev and Jeremy can back me up can back me up on it's chance of success (5%). But anyway it can end 2 ways: The maimed cult all becomes pacifists, or they end up in jail. Their choice. ;D ;D ;D

...You are going to explain it or you are going to do it by yourself. Which may be what you want, in which case I will not bother you. But if you want external help you should probably explain it.

I think at this point it would be best if Taka stayed out of this, considering he is one of the founders of the Order of the Flower and, by extension, one of the people who really f***** with the plot last year. Also at this point it may be better to simply eradicate the maimed, as soon as they disrupted a sacred event like the tournament of the steps the situation went beyond diplomacy (unless we have a miracle worker somewhere)

Also a point - consider how many levels in diplomat the Martial Masters get if they take the right track. Even just two M.M.s stacking is formidable. If they can't do it, then no amount of diplomacy in the world is going to solve the problem. They need actions, not words.

I have a much better idea then my old one. We could ask them this after we defeat them. (this is what I understand of the situation please correct me, if I am wrong) Us: What are you mad at? Them: The heroes of Sorikona for releasing the wraiths (right?) Us: Who put the wraiths there? Them: ...Vampires. Us: So who should you be attacking? Them: Now this could work...or they would just keeping attacking us because we RELEASED the wraiths, in which case we just continue to defeat them.
